There she was, standing on the other side of the street looking at some flowers. Her long, light brown hair cascading down her back. I could see the sun shining off of it. She wore a light blue, low-cut t-shirt and pink shorts. As she stood, I could see the perfect curves of her body, an hourglass shape. Then I caught myself looking from her butt to her breasts, which my guess were probably C's. "Casey, what are you looking at?"

I looked over at my friend. She held two cups in her hands, one for me, the other for her. Holding it out, I took it and took a drink, then quickly glanced across the street again at the girl, but she was gone. "Oh, it was nothing," I said.

Sarah shrugged and we headed down the street. Why was I thinking all that? And why did I look back over there again? I've been doing that more and more lately, but why? I said to myself as we walked. "Hey, look," said Sarah, pointing up ahead.

As I looked, I saw that girl again, but two guys stood in front of her. By the looks of it, she wasn't very happy. Sarah and I walked closer until we could hear what they were saying. "Let's go to my place and have a little fun." said one of the guys.

"No way," replied the girl and she turned to walk away.

The guy put his hand on her shoulder and jerked her back around. "It wasn't a question," he said and pulled her towards him.

"Hey! Let her go!" I yelled and ran towards them.

The two guys looked up, then shrugged and walked away. I stopped beside the girl. "Are you ok?" I asked.

"Yea, I'm fine. Thanks," she said smiling.

"No problem," I replied.

"I'm Lindsey," she said, holding out her hand.

"I'm Casey," I replied, shaking her hand.

By now, Sarah had arrived beside us. As they said hello and introduced themselves to each other, I found myself staring at her again. Quickly I looked away. "Well, I better get going before Mom gets worried," said Lindsey.

"Where do you live?" I asked.

"A couple blocks down from the park."

"Cool, so do I."

"Really? Cool."

We started walking again. As we came to another street, Sarah said good-bye and headed towards her house, leaving me and Lindsey walking together. As we rounded the corner, she pointed and said, "That's my house."

I looked at where she was pointing and couldn't believe it. She lived in the house right beside me. "Really?"

"Yea. We just moved here."

"Well, that's my house right beside yours," I said.

"That's awesome! Now we can talk everyday," she said as we arrived in front of her house.

She turned to look at me for a moment. I found myself looking at her again. "Why don't you come in and I'll introduce you to my mom."

"Uh, sure," I said and followed her inside.

Inside, the house was basically like mine. A staircase to the left lead to the upstairs bedrooms, straight ahead was the living room and to the right of it was the kitchen. I heard plates clattering from the kitchen as we walked inside. "Mom, I'm home, and I brought a friend," called Lindsey.

A lady with hair the same color as Lindsey's peeked around the corner. "Oh, hello there," she said and walked towards us. "I'm Lindsey's mom, but you can just call me Kelly."

"I'm Casey."

"Nice to meet you. I have some snacks in the kitchen if you two want some. They're chocolate chip cookies."

I saw Lindsey's eyes light up and she grabbed my arm, dragging me into the kitchen. On the table sat a plate of freshly baked cookies. Lindsey let go of my arm and picked up two, handing one to me. I took it and took a bite. It was the best I had ever had. As soon as I was done my phone rang. Taking it out of my pocket, I saw it was Mom. "Hello," I answered.

"Casey, were are you? You were supposed to be home an hour ago."

"Oh, sorry. Guess I got a little side tracked. I'm at a friends house. She just moved here. I'll be home in a minute."

"Ok, hurry up before dinner gets cold."

"I will, bye," I said and hung up. "Hey, I got to go," I said to Lindsey.

"Ok," she paused. "Wait, let me see your phone for a minute."

I looked at her a little curious and handed her my phone. After a minute she handed it back to me. We said good-bye and I headed home, right next door. After eating dinner, I walked up to my room an realized I could see into one of the bedrooms of Lindsey's house. After a minute, I saw Lindsey walk in and sit down on the bed. Wow, that must be Lindsey's room. I said to myself. Lindsey looked out her window, then stood up and walked over, opening it. She waved at me. "Hey, isn't this cool? Our bedrooms are right across from each other," she said.

"Yea, it is pretty cool," I replied.

My phone rang, signaling I had a new message. Looking at it, I saw it read "Lindsey". So that's what she did. I thought. Opening the message, it read, "I was wondering if you wanted to come with me down to the beach tomorrow."

I thought for a moment, then replied back, "Sure, I'll go with you."

Looking out the window, I saw her jump up and down. "Yay! I can't wait till tomorrow!" she shouted.

Wow, she gets really excited over such small things. Wonder what she looks like in a bathing suit. Wait, did I just think that? I shook my head, trying to get it to go away. Finally, I gave up and laid down on my bed, staring up at the ceiling. After a couple minutes, I drifted off to sleep.
