"I didn't know you knew Calum like that." Josaline laughed as she fixed her hair. "Are you guys close?"

"Yeah, he's practically family to me now." I laughed and she crossed her arms as she looked at me. "Ready for this?"

"Ready as I could ever be." She nodded after putting on some lipstick. "By any chance... do you know if Calum is free tonight?"

"Not sure. Ask him." I shrugged and then recited my verses over and over again in my head. "Why? Are you interested in him?"

She looked at me and then winked. "Why, are you jealous?" She asked and I shook my head honestly.

"Of him? Never." I laughed and then walked away. "Got a beautiful girl only a few blocks down. Not saying you're not pretty, but I'm tied down man. Calum can do whatever he wants."

"Aw Con, you're sweet." She laughed and I shrugged. "So, shat's the Mrs. working on today?" She asked me and I felt her rest a hand on my shoulder. "Photoshoot?"

"Nope, her fashion line with a few other people." I smiled fondly as I thought about her. "Proceeds go to a local charity for helping transgender young adults transition and get what they need to feel comfortable in their skin. Ever feel like a nice person, buy a shirt or two."

"I might just do that." She nodded and a crew member told us that we had two minutes before we had to go on stage. "I'm nervous."

"You sing on stage all the time."

"Well yeah, but it's never been with someone as famous as you. You're up there with fucking Machine Gun Kelly and shit." She scoffed and I snorted.

"Wouldn't say that. I haven't been making music for that long." I scoffed as I put an earpiece in. "Besides, I'm famous for dumb YouTube videos of dumb challenges and stupid parody covers. Really, don't be nervous at all."

She thanked me and I closed it behind me as I rolled my sleeves up to my elbows. Unlike her, who went with tight burgundy bodysuit and tall boots, I kept myself covered up in my skinny jeans and a semi-tight Henley shirt. We couldn't look too different since we were performing as a duo, so we found common ground in our colour schemes.

I smiled nervously as the host introduced us and then took a deep breath.

Fuck I'll never get used to performing.

"How was your presentation of your family tree you guys?" I asked as the kids got inside of the car.

"It was so much fun!" Nani shouted excitedly as she buckled her seatbelt. "I love presenting because the poster was so pretty."

"I don't like presenting." Kaleb huffed as he crossed his arms and closed the door. I chuckled and he buckled his seatbelt. :I hate presenting."

"Why's that bubba?" I asked him and he looked at me.

"I don't like people staring at me, daddy." He told me and I smiled sadly as I started the car. "There's like... thirty people in our class! They were all looking at me! It's scary."

"I'm sorry, Kaleb. I knew it's hard." I sighed and then turned the radio up a bit. "It'll get easier, I promise. I used to hate being in front of people too."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I hated people looking at me and staring at ms, now look, all I sant is attention." I laughed as Giselle began calling me. "Hold on, mama's calling."

I answered it, and I was immediately met with Gi's angry voice booming through my speakers, courtesy of my auxiliary cord "Ooh Connor, a bitch is really testing me. I'm about to put her in her fucking place if you don't come by and stop me."
