My name is Knol, my mission is to find out if or what humans knew of us. I'm commander of ship Alter, my crew contains 30 of our navy's best. Earth is an unknown in my majesty's kingdom, our species has never explored there, except my mother's mother but of course, she never came back to tell the tale. I'm getting off task, we are nearing the asteroid ring by the giant gas planet with the red spot. *blaring sound* Sigh, I will have to end this early my assistance is needed.

I end my captain's log to the blaring of the feeding alarm the pounding of 30 pairs of feet rushing towards the feeders. I'm higher ranking so the lower rankers bring me the food. I've always thought it was flawed, but the queen made it, so if I leave I'll be zapped and I'd rather not be zapped.

Zonal walks in timidly "m-miss, your feed is h-here." Zonal sets it on my desk "Zonal, how long till we make it to the dark side of the moon?" I turn to look at a very an attractive Nomigin. I look her over briefly as the distant sun shimmers over her atmosphere blue skin, her uniform hugs her body. A few tattoos crawl up her skin like Zgnid (snake-like creature) climbs a tree. Her eyes shimmer like the seven suns in the trigan. I stop myself from looking too long, she has a mate. I always do this I fall for the ones who are never available.

I dismiss her to the feeders where she can see her mate. My sister has found her mate, she tells me every day I need to wait. Well, I don't want to wait. It's difficult being the Navy's number one commander and have no mate.

I sit down at my desk and push my meal aside and call up the driver to ask when we'll land, in a nano minute (hour). I feel what humans call "butterflies in my stomach", I've never understood human phrases like this. My species is very literal, we say what we mean unlike humans and other species. I like this about us, there are no hidden meanings in our words. Of course, we have sarcasm every species does I think.

I decide to eat its cold but its something. We won't eat till we arrive on earth that could be nano minutes. The feed is gross, it's some weird plant the kitchen found in the refrigerator. It's tough to chew but I won't complain.

I finish in a couple minutes and call on a lower ranked to come take it to the kitchen. They come a briskly pick it up and bring it to the kitchen. I get up and look out the window, we must be passing the abandoned planet Mars. No one knows what happened to the Martians who lived there some say they died out and others say they moved away, I personally think they never existed but no one believes me. Some aliens even go so far as to go on full on manhunts on the planet.

We land at a port on the moon shortly passing the abandoned planet. I'm first to leave then the second in command, Grahae. she is competent but strict and likes being in control. Then the lower rankers engineers, cooks, soldiers, and pilots. I make a list for the cooks to get food and such as I walk off to the bar.

I open the door to be greeted by the smell of smoke and liquor and people yelling. I scan the crowd looking for a familiar face but there is none. I walk over to the bar. "One-star blaster please." The barkeep stops cleaning the glass and walks to where the liquor is he keeps. A big fellow with a white shirt covered in stains. I'm not entirely sure that all of them are liquor. He is bald and has a pink hue to his skin. Someone sits beside me and orders the same thing.

"Commander of the altar is that right, miss?" A voice obviously wasted, I glance in his direction he looks likes a human except his eyes are completely yellow.

"Alter, and yes I'm." He moves closer. And whispers in my ear. "I like a woman of authority" at that I grab his arm that had slithered around my waist and flip it behind his back and firmly push it on his back. The bar stops momentarily to watch the show.

"Well, I hate drunks." I push it up lightly making him cry out in pain. I let him go and pay for my drink the barkeep made an exception with me, he was kind enough to let me keep the glass. I walk out in a ruff, I walk to the ship.

I climb aboard and walk to my office that doubles as my quarters. the maids are working diligently cleaning what little mess I had. I dismiss them and lay in my sleeping pod I fall asleep instantly.
