Once there was a beautiful princess called Marisa. She was known for her beauty and wits. Although she was a little bit eccentric. She loved to make invention that was rather weird. On her 16th birthday while Marisa was making her latest invention a thief broke in. The thief is non other than the great thief Yagatarasu. He was known for his thievery and also because people say he is really horrible and very dangerous, but the truth is he didn't steal for himself. He always gave it to the poor.
She hadn't noticed his presence until he shown himself. Marisa was shocked when she realized the great thief was watching her. But before she can say anything the great thief shut her mouth with his hand and say," hey there princess don't be afraid. I'm just a humble thief that's curious with the tale of the beautiful princess. Apparently the great thief was lured by Marisa beauty and he travelled for a very long distance to see her. Marisa who heard that becomes very nervous. But in the same time, incredible excited. She had been wandering what does it feels like to be outside the castle. If this thief can come in why I can't go out, she asked herself.
"If you are just a humble thief what are you doing in my bed chamber o'mighty thief?" Marisa asked.
"I'm here not to steal I know that this kingdom is very safe and prosperous. The king is very kind and generous and won't harm the villagers, so I won't steal anything." The Yatagarasu said.
"If you're here not to steal, what are you doing here than?" Marisa asked.
"I'm here because I want to know if the rumor is true about your beauty and wits. I was a bit curious what kind of princess you are. The princess in m kingdom is a spoiled brat. Sorry for the harsh word my lady." Yatagarasu said.
"Oo.. I get it no harm done. Ok then you have seen me and you have been watching me haven't you? So what impression do you get from me?"
"You notice princess? I'm a bit shocked. At first I was just curious, but as I'm observing you I notice that you're not the typical princess I presume. You act like a boy but in the same time very gracefully. I didn't believe what I was seeing."
"So I passed your test. You do realize that in this very moment you can get killed right? I could call the guard and have you executed for coming to my bed chamber." Marisa said.
"I realize that princess, but I also realize that you won't. Because you need something from me, am I correct?"
"Yes that is true. I was wondering. if you can come here without being caught than I also can get out from here. Will you help me? I don't want to run away to a foreign place but I'm curious what does it feels like to get out from these walls."
"Of course I will my lady. I'm at your service." The thief said while kneeling in front Marisa.
From that day on the princess and the thief become friends. At first Marisa was rather nervous when she was around Yatagarasu, but as the time passed that feeling gone and she become very comfortable and also she feel very safe around him. They went out the castle every night. They went to the southern lake, the north flower field, the west ocean and other exotic places. She hadn't realized that she was falling for him. Neither does Yatagarasu. They thought it was just a brotherly bond, but they were wrong.
On Marisa 17th birthday the king declared that she has to marry a prince from anther kingdom. But Marisa objected to that notion. She doesn't want to marry anyone. From that day she realized that she had been falling in love with Yatagarasu. But she can't tell him that. She was afraid that Yatagarasu doesn't love her back. So she stays quiet and let her father decide her future.
Yatagarasu who heard that Marisa is going to marry other man got very angry and confronted Marisa to know the truth. Marisa can't say anything she just kept quiet. She wanted to tell Yatagarasu that she loves him very dearly but she was very afraid. Yatagarasu who saw Marisa only stay quiet become very frustrated. He jumped of the window and went away. Marisa who watched her love one went away just kept quiet and sobs. She cried her heart out that day.
On the wedding day Marisa mood hasn't change. She still very depressed about Yatagarasu. But she can't do anything. She is the only child. She can't disappoint her parents. She decided that she need a little time by herself, so she went to the garden. She remembered her memory with Yatagarasu and she cried. Suddenly a tall figure came and hugged her. She wanted to fight but then that stranger scent reminds her of Yatagarasu. She looked up and sees that it's really Yatagarasu. But his look is different his more handsome and more civilize.
"What are you doing here Yatagarasu?"Marisa asked.
"I'm here for our wedding." Yatagarasu answered with a grin.
"WHAT?!?! OUR WEDDING??"
"Yeah, you heard me. Apparently you don't know that the truth is I'm a prince and my real name is Alan. When I heard you were going to marry, I snap and I realized that I love you. I had been falling for you all this time without I notice. But because of my current situation I can't marry you. Your father won't allow a commoner and a thief marry his daughter. So I went back to my country take back what is mine and come here to ask for your marriage."
"Wow. Okay. But-but aren't the one that's going to marry me today is the south prince?"
"Not anymore he won't. I talk to your father and he had agreed about us. The only thing left is your answer. So my princess, will you marry this humble man?"
"You're not humble in the least my prince, and yes I will gladly marry you. Because I love you with all my heart, you have stolen my heart."
And then they kiss and marry that same day. The thief you didn't want to steal in the end steal the most important thing in that kingdom, the princess heart. And apparently he is a prince. And so the story ends.
