Lucy's eyes stared, unmoving. Unblinking. Why her eyes were open, nobody knows, for she could see nothing in the cold darkness of the basement. Her arms hung rigidly to her sides and her blond, ratty hair was a tangled knot snaking down her back.
Amelia, Lucys sister, was laying asleep in her bed wrapped in big, stuffy blankets to protect her from the cold night outside.
Bang!
Amelia shot up in bed, awakened by the commotion in the basement. Her heart beat rapidly as her tiny fingers clutched the hem of her bedsheets.
"H-hello?" she whispered in a hoarse voice.
No answer came.
Meanwhile, Lucy stood in the cellar as an invisible hand grazed her shoulder. It then guided her up the stairs to the kitchen. Then up another set of stairs. Then it guided Lucy to her shared bedroom.
To Amelia.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Amelia was shaking now for the bangs were right outside her door.
Bang! Bang!
Lucy knocked harder and harder until her knuckles oozed blood.
Amelia covered her ears with her ears with her pillow to block out the noise. Tears spilled out of her eyes as she rocked back and forth on her bed.
"Stop it! Stop it Lucy!" she screamed.
The knocks only grew more frantic. Finally, Amelia ran to the door and yanked it open. Lucy stood there, staring into the distance, blood dripping from her hand. She wore a sinister smirk on her face.
"What do you want from me?" Screamed Amelia, "What is it you want?"
Lucy just cocked her head and smoothly replied, "He wants nothing. Just for you to leave. So I'm going to make you."
With that Lucy pushed Amelia with out of body strength towards the window. The glass broke, and Amelia left.
Forever.
