(I think you should listen to 'the wind' by the fray, idk i just listened to this whilst writing)
// Emily's POV \\
I woke up to a cold breeze straight down the back of my neck. Spinning round to see where it was coming from I saw that the window was open.
"Leah" I hissed to check if she was awake.
My guess is that she left it open when she came in. I rushed over to close it before checking the time.2 AM
Great, there was no way in hell I would be able to go back to sleep.
I tried my hardest to let my self drift off again but it really wasn't working. After a good 10 minutes of trying I threw off the covers and made my way over to the bathroom.
I found rinsing my face with cold water gets rid of all the thoughts clogging my mind up.
When I made my way back into the room I noticed my sketch pad on the dresser. Maybe I could take a walk down and re'do my sketches of the sea front?
Once I wrapped my self up in my thick jacket, I grabbed all my things including my car keys and made my way over to the door.
****
It was still really dark, and cold. As I made my way down to the spot I usually sat in a curled up figured was laid there.
Then it hit me. Last night. Luke.
I stood on the spot taking in his perfect figure, the way his hat was slightly off his head. His jacket hugged tightly around his body, legs tucked into his chest. With out a doubt he was perfect.
My feet carried my over in his direction. I decided not to wake him, he looked so peaceful.
I sat a good metre away from him, trying not to make too much noise as I settled down.
Had he been here all night?
At least 10 minutes had gone by now and I couldn't seem to draw my eyes away from him. His mouth hung slightly open letting out his little snores.
He stirred a little causing his hat to drop from his head completely. He began to feel around for it, this showed that he wasn't fully asleep. I took his hat with both hands and handed it to him.
He opened his eyes slightly as he took it from me.
"Emily?" His voiced sounded deep and raspy as my name fell from his lips.
"Mmm" I replied not taking my eyes off him.
"Hi" I smiled.
He sat up fully, straightening him self out. For such a tall boy he must have been pretty uncomfortable curled in a ball like that.
"Why are you still here?"
"I must have fell to sleep" he replied looking confused with his own sentence.
"Ya think" I chuckled.
He grinned shaking his head slightly looking down at his lap.
"Why'd you leave?" A more serious look plastered on hhis face.
I let out a small sigh "I don't know".
"It was all weird one minute you hate me-"
"Woah woah what?" He furrowed his eye brows at me. "No I never".
"You were a-"
"Dick, I know"
"Can you stop that" he looked at me with a questioning look. "Cutting me off" I helped him out a little.
"Oh sorry"
A few minutes of silence passed and all that was heard was the distant waves.
"Im am sorry, for being a dick" He sighed.
"Why were you?" I was actually curious, I couldn't fit any pieces together as to what I had done.
"Its how I am, I don't want to be. I guess I didn't really know you"
"Oh" I swung my head round to look at him. It was the first time I had made eye contact with him since I came.
"Sorry" he looked, I don't know, upset almost.
"Im over it" I shrugged.
"New start?" He asked perking up slightly.
"I guess" I smiled.
A new start, how long will that last.
"Let me take you out friday?" Out? I questioned my self.
"Where?" I half laughed.
"Theres a party for-"
"No"
"Would you let me finish" he sighed.
"Theres a party for my aunts engagement, and I know this is weird to ask but, will you come with me because its just all my family and I-"
"Yes" I laughed as he began to awkwardly play with the sand.
"Really?" He looked up at me with his wide blue eyes.
"Yeah" I grinned.
"Good"
"Good".
