The name choosing

A/N: This part was supposed to be about pet names (according to the challenge) but I thought that it would be funnier to write about naming their first child. Estelle was such a surprise name and it would be really fun to know how Victoria and Daniel decided it.

List of the girl names was on the top of the table. Some of the names were underlined (A/N the bolded and underlined ones).

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden was sitting on the chair next to the table watching the list. Her husband Prince Daniel was next to her gently rubbing her big pregnancy belly. The couple had to choose a name to their daughter.

The name choosing was harder that expected, since they couldn't just pick the name they really liked but the name had to fit for the future Queen. They had made the list about regal names and one by one crossed names out. Now there was three left; Margaretha, Sibylla and Eleonora. But none of them seemed perfect for their little Princess.

The problem with Margaretha was that Victoria's aunt had that name so it didn't seem good to give that name to baby. Also it was the name of the Queen of Denmark. So Victoria associated the name to old ladies which wasn't great.

Sibylla hade similar problems; it was her late grandmother she had never met. It didn't seem right to give her daughter that name.

The couple had decided that Eleonora was the best of the three but also this had a downside; Victoria had goddaughter named Eleonore (of Belgium) so there would be two important people at Victoria's life named almost the same.

Other names were much easier. They were going to honor both grandmothers of the Princess and her last name would be from her future godmother, the Crown Princess of Denmark.

They were few minutes silently until he asked from her: "Do we really need that kind of name? Can't we name our daughter like we want?"
"I really don't know, but maybe we can consider also other names" she admitted.

Daniel asked her to think a name that would be really beautiful and after a while she said: "I always admired the name of one distant relative. She was the wife of Folke Bernadotte and her name was Estelle which I think is really beautiful name"

"I find it really beautiful too and I think we should name our daughter to whatever we like, not what people think we're supposed to do" replied Daniel. "Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary, it is then" Victoria agreed. And then their daughter had a beautiful name which would fit their daughter perfectly.
