I head home and was delighted when I saw aunt summer's reply to my email.

All was going well for her. And she told me to keep on writing and kindly requested me to make friends.

I was a ahead on that this time. I've got not one, but two friends. I deserve an award for this. She felt I would go insane if I didnt have company

The next few hours were spent in cyberspace. Until the time was right for dinner and of course, the ever dreadful family meeting that I'm soooo " looking forward " to.

" so how was dinner? " mom asked at the table. All of us replied positively in coherence with one another.

" and how was your day AJ? "

" well mom, I'm tryna get a good topic for my essay which affects our society".

" respect" , said my dad with no expression on his face.i could tell he was replaying the events at home with Aunt Summer.

" common sense" I said while glaring at my dad. He didn't seem to care. But then again, I would be shocked if he ever did, Maybe a little when I helped with his work years ago. That's in the past now, one which I don't want to think about.

" ugh, language boy" said my mother bringing me back and away from my thoughts.

..to me the main thing missing in our society was common sense followed by compassion. People don't think deeper anymore and they don't feel anymore. Living example are my parents.

"This whole talking thing isn't my thing mom, may I please be excused?"

I had to put on my pleading face. And if she says no. I'll still walk away regardless. This whole permission thing is just to not get into conversations that I don't like.

The moment she agreed. I headed straight to my room and did my routine on the diary and slept after preparing for school.

The next day at school, was getting my books sorted out and felt a slight nudge on my elbow and heard" dude you free this evening", I turned around to see who it was and I saw Jake with a smile that could go for miles. He clearly has been happy lately.

" errr, I guess so".

"awh yeah man, that's great. Look man, I'm having a party at my friends place tonight and I don't wanna go alone, wouldn't it be nice of you to accompany me sir? " he ended with a horrible horrible British accent that eventually sounded Australian.

" a party? Me? You've gotta be kidding, no thanks." I replied and began walking away.

" oh come on man, please, I really don't want to be alone." I saw Megan walking past us. Jake stopped her on the spot ,

" hey Megan?, I've got a party to go to and I don't wanna go alone. Apparently Ryan here is scared of parties and he doesn't wanna come. So do you wanna go?"

She looked straight up at him,

" will there be drinks?"

Jake faked like he was offended" ugh, how could you ask me that? Of course."

" then count me in, see you both later." She smirked and looked at me

" why can't you come Ryan?, got a date or something".

Ofcourse I have a date, I have a million people to meet and thousands things to do.i am the busiest and most sociable person ever known.

" no, I just don't like to be around so many people". I said looking down to avoid eye contact. They both gave each other confused looks
