The explosion rocked the whole ship, and I sailed into Steve, face planting into his chest and the force of the explosion and my body slamming into his sent us both to the ground.

"Put on the suit." I heard him say hastily to Tony. "Yup." He replied, as Steve pulled me up. "Stark, Rogers, Elrend, we need you three to fix the turbine." Fury's voice said through the ear piece.

"Fine." I said angrily, and followed behind Tony as he went to put on his suit. I ran and pulled on the tight midnight blue cat suit, and filled my pockets and holsters with as many weapons as possible. I ran to the turbine wreckage, where both Steve and Tony were waiting.

"Its seems to run on some form of electricity." Steve said. "You're not wrong." I said, kneeling beside him.

"Fix the relays Shay!" Tony yelled through the ear piece. "Roger that!" I replied. I stop, and turned to look at Steve. "That was the best unintentional pun ever." I said, grinning. He smiles back as I turn to fix the relays.

"The relays are intact!" Steve yelled. "What's our next move?" I asked.

"Even if I clear the rotors, this thing won't re-engage without a jump. I'm gonna have to get in and push." Tony said.

"Well if that thing gets up to speed, you'll get shredded!" Steve yelled through the ear piece.

"Then stay near the control unit and reverse polarity long enough to disengage maglev-"

"Speak English!" Steve demanded. I laugh, looking at his annoyed and frustrated expression. "The red lever." I said, pointing. "Stay near it, and pull it when Tony says so." I explained.

He nodded. "What about you?" I turned and lifted myself into the air. "I having a bad feeling that a certain Asgardian is trying to break out." I explained.

"But he's not going to, not on my watch."

I turn and fly through the opening and back into the falling hellicarrier, pushing two soldiers off the side of the ledge as I go.

I take down as many of the invading soldiers as I could on my way to Loki's glass prison. And I arrived just in time.

Just in time to watch Loki stab Coulson through the heart. "No!! Coulson!" I screamed, perfectly in sync with Thor's own yells.

Loki turns and shoots a blue ray at me, and in my horror, I never even see the blast to move. I just felt it. A searing pain in my side that sent me flying backwards and into the wall, banging my head against something hard and landing even harder in a crumpled heap. I can faintly hear Thor yelling my name.

"Damn," I muttered, my vision blurry and hearing failing.

I stood after a few moments and made my way over to Coulson. "Phil, hey, hey, hey! Look at me, are you looking, you're looking, good. Are you listening, hey, hey! Coulson! Phil! Please! Stay awake and listen! You're going to be fine!" Tears pricked the edges of my vision as desperation started to creep into my voice.

"You'll, you'll be a-a-a great s-superh-hero." He stuttered. He chuckled lightly. "I never even got him to sign my trading cards." Phil said, his voice thick with regret. "Don't worry." I sniffed. "I'll get him to sign those cards even if I have to hold him at gun point, I promise."

He chuckled. "Go easy on the man. I know he cares about you, you don't have to be so intimidating."

I laughed, but his eyes started to close again. "Phil, come on, please stay with me. I don't want to be alone. You know how much I hate being alone." I hated the desperation that was creeping into my voice. He smiled weakly. "You won't be. You've got Romanoff, Fury, Hill, Stark, Banner, Thor, and the Captain to keep you company. You're hardly alone."

I laughed, the tears threatening to spill over. Suddenly, his eyes widened. "Shay, look out-" A sharp, hard blow exploded on the back of my head, sending me flying to the right and away from Coulson. "Shay!" He exclaimed weakly.

I rolled onto my back and groaned. Loki came over and held me by the throat, scepter in hand. He smiled. "So beautiful. You'll be a wonderful queen, I just know it." He held the scepter's tip to my chest, and I saw black.

I felt myself fading away to Coulson's faint enraged demands to let me go, and the terrifying sound of Loki's menacing laughter.
