8 Yrs Before
"Mother!" Little Riena says jumping on her mother to wake her up. "Mommy it's my birthday!" She jumps in exciment on the bed. "I'm ten now mother! Mom please get up!" She whines to her mother.

She roles her mother over to see her face paler than Snow White. Her hands stretched out with peels in them "Mother?" She ask hoping her mother is alright. She bends her hand down near her nose and mouth to hear breathing.
...
Nothing.
She pomps on her chest and does what a ten year old would call mouth to mouth.
...
Nothing.

"Mommy!" She screams as tears start to fall down her eyes. "Mommy please wake up, just please be sleep mother" She cries on her mother's chest. Little did she know, her mother was sleep. Just sleep and is never waking back up.

She runs out of her mother room into the hallway towards the house phone. Calling the only number she could think of.
"Daddy?" She says still crying.

"Happy birthday sweet heart, I miss you. Is sometthing the matter?" Her dad says as she cries.

"Mother is dead." She says breaking down even more. "What!? Riena sweet heart, I know you love jokes but stop. That isnt something to joke about. Let me speak to your moth-"

"She's gone!" Riena yells into the phone at her father.

Silence is all she hears next. "Dad?"

"Riena Im in the car, on my way, do you understand me, stay away from the area your mother is and call the cops."

With that he hangs up and dials the police.

"Hello little one I am officer Morgan and I'm hear to help you, can me and my partner come in to ask questions?" She nods and points towards the living room. The other officer goes towards the back of the house.

Within a few minutes both cops were on one couch while little Riena was sitting in a arm chair teary eyed.
"Do you have any other family members?" One of the cops ask her and she stares at them confused of not knowing their name. "Oh right. Never introduced myself correctly. Hello I'm officer Jonas. You are?"

"Riena Stefens." She says in a cracked voice. "Riena dear. It's okay, we are here to help."

"HELP WHAT! HUH?! CAN YOU HELP BRING MOTHER BACK, NO! YOU ARE JUST HERE TO ASK UNNEEDED QUESTIONS THAT ARE ASKED ALL THE TIME! YOUR NOT HERE TO HELP! YOU PROBABLY DON'T EVEN CARE THAT SHE DRUGGED HERSELF! ALL YOU WANNA DO IS PUT ME INTO ANOTHER HAVE ME SENT TO ANOTHER RELATIVE AND MOVE ON WITH YOUR BUSINESS." Riena goes off at the cops and then their is sudden silence.
...With that being said there was a knock on the door.

One of the cops gets up and answers it. "Hello, I'm Riena's dad, and Avalin's ex-husband"
Riena hears her dad's voice. "Daddy!" She cries running over to the father that has just stepped inside the house.

She hugs him and he picks her up as she cries into his shoulders. "Are you Mr.Stefens?" Officer Jonas ask and he nods. "Yea, we were talking to your daughter but she just broke down. She is right about one thing...we are here to find more relatives to take care of you, but your wrong about your mother, we are going to do something. What? For now we don't know, but Officer Morgan is calling over some of our buddies to come grab your mother's body and check out everything else."

hours later

"Riena you have to come out of that room. Please sweetheart." Riena's dad says through the locked door of Riena's room at her dad's home.

Her dad recently worked as a therapist but he can't talk to his daughter is she isn't going to listen.
"Look sweetheart. Stuff like this happens all the time. You have to trust that I am here for you. Please Rie"

"DON'T CALL ME THAT!" Riena yells through the door. She was so used to her mother calling her that name, now her mother is gone. The only person she would die for, died on her.

"Riena I'm going to make dinner, come out when your ready." Riena's dad's said and walks away from her door. As Riena hear's his foot steps and it gets quieter and then just silent. She gets off her bed unlocking the door and peeking out. She shuts the door and walks to her window opening it. Climbing out she sits outside the window.

Sitting there she just cries and cries and cries.
She will forever remember this day as the day she lost her  mother. A day she is never planning on celebrating again.
