As I walked through the city with T5 I notice several of the buildings are in good condition probably well enough to stay in as long as someone wasn't already there. Just as the thought passed my mind I was approached very rapidly by a running man. I point my plasma pistol to his face and he stops dead in his tracks.
"Stop where you are stranger." I charge a burst just in case he trys anything.
"Woah there mate it's fine I was just passing through the area." He stops talking to catch his breath. "Oooooh man, you always..." he pants. "Always treat strangers so welcomingly."
"For the most part in the wastes yeah." I look him over, he seems to just be wearing a shirt and jeans with some metal armor on his torso and arms. He has a holstered pistol on his right side. "What are you doing out here?"
"Look I know you're concerned for your safety but put the gun away it's rude to interrogate someone you just met. Besides I try anything your bot buddy blasts me into next week." T5 beeps happily.
"Fine but you'd better not try anything."
"You have my word I'll be the best guest you've ever had. Gotta place to stay for the night?"
     "No I don't actually." I answer reluctantly.
"Perfect follow me I know just the place it's not far from here promise." He starts to walk beside me as we stick close to the walls of the building. "Oh by the way I've been meaning to ask you something..." He stops and stares directly at me with a serious look. I get ready to jump at him if he trys something. "Do you happen to have a gieger counter?" He waits with that intense stare.
"Umm yeah on this pip boy here why do you want me to scan you?" I answered back confused, why would a wastelander be remotely worried about his radiation levels unless he took a barrel bath.
"No that's okay I was just wondering." He continues along walking back to his joyful nature with his bald head almost just bouncing from excitement. "So what are you doing out here anyway?"
"Hey didn't I ask you that first"
"Yeah but you forgot to ask again so now I get to know first."
"Fine I'm just wandering looking for work after my last job."
"Must've been one rough job with all that fancy gear you've got huh, were you apart of some group or something?" I probably should keep my enclave past hidden I'm not sure if they had bad influence up here although it has been 10 years since our downfall.
"Not really just a small group that got lucky on an out military outpost."
"Really now that is lucky where's the rest of your group? Are they back at home base while you recon?"
"I wish that was the case... no they didn't make it sadly I wish I could've saved them."
"Oh I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked my bad."
"No it's fine it was a long time ago besides I killed the raider that betrayed us."
"Yeah you can't trust anyone any more I'm afraid." He kicks a rock as he walks. "Its truly sad how the world has progressed so little since the world blew. But hey at least we can survive, sad we can't live though..."

We continued for about 20 more minutes talking until we stopped.
"Welp this is your stop. This is GoodNieghbor it's a niceish place just make sure you stay on your guard it's got a cheap hotel inside. I'll see ya later I'm sure friend." He starts to walk away.
"Hey wait I never got your name."
"Deacon, don't wear it out alright. Oh and remember don't trust anyone. He turns around and puts on some black shades and walks away the way we came.
Hmm maybe some people aren't so bad but I'll stay in my toes to be safe. Although I'll be much safer once I get a hold of some real protection. I start to walk towards the door to GoodNieghbor.
