Walking towards the doors of that school were hard. You didn't know anybody and you probably stood out like nobody's business. You already missed the normality of being at a regular school. You couldn't help but tug at the ends of your jacket. You were nervous and you weren't used to wearing this uniform. You touched your hair for the hundredth time and kept your gaze down on the ground.
The school you were now attending was a private and elite school. You were sure that there were some other kids here because they were smart but so far all you saw were kids who had parents who had money pouring out from everywhere.
You were halfway to the big doors of the fancy school when you heard a sound of screeching car wheels come from behind you. You turned around, along with everyone else, and saw a black beat up car stopped at the curb. You could hear the heavy bass coming out from the car speakers. A boy climbed out from the driver's seat and you couldn't help but stare. He was absolutely stunning. His hair was a mess but the kind that seems styled. As he flicked his black hair out of his eyes he smiled and laughed at something the person in the passenger seat said. Although he was in his uniform, the dark eyeliner and how he held himself made you stamp the label of bad boy on him. The person in the passenger seat came out and jumped into the driver's seat before leaving this bad boy alone on the street.
His smile disappeared as he looked at the school. You couldn't imagine this kid being someone who was smart but he surely wasn't some rich kid. Rich kids didn't have beat up cars and messy hair.
He caught you staring and his gaze was suddenly more intense. You looked away in a panic and realized that everyone else had stopped paying attention to his scene a long time ago. You felt awkward and rushed to the doors of the building.
Finding your first class was a challenge in the huge school but with some help from a teacher, you found your first class in time. You tried not to look around too much so, with your head down, you found an empty seat near the window. Taking out all of your things, you took a deep breath and finally looked up. The room was huge and you suddenly got up the courage to look around. The class had about 12 kids in it which was weird for you, coming from a public school in which had 25-30 kids per class.
The teacher walked in, causing everyone to quiet down. Class started and you officially started your life at this school.
The minutes of the day passed by slowly and by the time third period rolled around, you wanted it to be lunch. Walking into the third large room, it took you a bit to realize the guy from earlier was sitting next to the only open seat left in the class. You convinced yourself not to think about his entrance this morning and went ahead to sit down. You could just barely see him out of the corner of your eye. He was biting, or more like chewing, his thumbnail and seemed to be thinking about something that had him blanking out a bit.
Forcing your focus away from him, you tried to stay on track. You wanted to get through the day without someone pointing out how poor you looked. You weren't poor but you sure weren't rich so you had to do your best to blend into the crowd here.
Throughout class you found yourself catching glimpses of this boy and wondered why he was here. It seemed like you were the only one with a scholarship.
Class went by fast and you found yourself hoping he would be in your next class. You got there early and watched the door as people came in. There was soon only 30 seconds until the bell would ring and you shifted your attention away from the boy.
You did more first day things in your class and before you knew it, lunch had rolled around at the end of fifth period. Your worst fear was upon you and you had no idea where to sit. The cafeteria was enormous but you still couldn't find a spot to just be alone in. You looked around nervously, probably looking as new as a new student could look.
Jumping as a hand landed on your shoulder, you turned to face whoever did it. You were met with a big box smile. Studying the boys face, you couldn't help but blush at how handsome he was.
"Are you lost?" He asked you kindly.
"Uh..." You stuttered, not knowing what to say. He chuckled at you, finding you cute. You hadn't seen a boy who looked this handsome and you wondered how you could miss him walking through the hallways.
"Sit with me and my friends, yeah?" He suggested and before you could answer, he was dragging you to a table where three other people sat. They didn't notice your presence until the boy with the box smile called for their attention. "Guys! I've captured a new student!" He said cheerfully.
"That's creepy Tae," the only girl at the table spoke frankly. "Let the girl breathe."
"Wow," a boy with blonde hair scoffed.
"What?" The girl asked.
"You're so mean," he told her without hesitation.
"Yeah. Your point?" She asked, giving him more attitude than you thought possible out of these privileged kids.
"Guys! Stop! This is..." He paused, realizing he didn't know your name.
"(Y/N)," you told them, still feeling nervous.
"How cute!" The other boy with light brown hair spoke. "I'm Jin!" He introduced himself with a beautiful smile. "That's Yoongi and she's May." he informed you.
Nodding, you felt small under their gazes. "Oh! And I'm Taehyung but, you can call me Tae," he grinned with a small chuckle.
"Most popular boy in school right there. Watch out for the stalkers," May warned you, causing Tae to shake his head.
"I don't have stalkers," he scoffed, obviously oblivious to the fact that almost every girl in the building would do anything for him.
Zoning out of their conversation, you scanned the large area in search for the boy from that morning. You wondered what kind of people he hung out with and if they were anything like you. Finally spotting him, you noticed he was sitting alone and looking angry about it too. Your staring must've been obvious because soon he looked up and caught you in the act. Looking away quickly, your face felt hot.
"What is it?" Jin asked, noticing your small panic. They all turned in the direction you were looking in and must've seen the boy looking at you. "Oh no. Don't go near that," JIn sighed.
"What? Why? Who is he?" you asked them, sounding a bit desperate for information.
"He's... bad news. This is actually the first time I've seen him sit here at lunch. He usually ditches and hangs out with people from across the city. He doesn't say much but he's always getting in trouble outside of school. I don't know how he ended up here but he's been going here since ninth grade," May explained to you.
"He's not hat bad. I've spoken with him before. He's just to himself," Tae added. "We should be his friend!"
All three of their eyes widened and they shook their heads. "No! No way!" Yoongi exclaimed.
"You guys are so negative. C'mon (Y/N). Let's go say hi!" Tae beamed but before he could leave he asked the question you'd been waiting to be answered. "What's his name again?"
Jin sighed in defeat and answered, "Jungkook."
