Keith should have known. He really should have known.

Of all the people who could've found the letters he'd written, of course Lance would be the one to find them hidden under his bed. And his loud remarks and frantic waving really wasn't helping.

Just freaking fantastic.

At least he'd never written the greeting, so no one would actually know who the letters were for.

"Keith. Who the hell are these for?" Lance shoved one of the random pieces of paper in the purple-eyed boy's face. Keith grunted, trying to act casual, despite the heat creeping up his cheeks.

"No one, Lance. Go away. Those aren't yours," he grumbled. Lance grinned. "Aww, is Keith embarrassed? Who knew that Mr. Emo would secretly write love letters?" The caramel boy chuckled. "But Keith, please tell me. Who are these for? Please?"

Keith shook his head. "Not telling you, Lance."

Despite his dilemma, the pale boy couldn't help but feel relieved that the other hadn't been able to identify who the letters were addressed to. He would kill himself if anyone figured out that the object of his huge gay crush was Lance, believe it or not. Especially when that anyone was Lance, himself.

Blue eyes shone, in an attempt to sway Keith's decision, but the black-haired boy was adamant on his decision. Besides, he was too busy telling himself that the cute pout on the Lance's lips definitely was not making the paladin look absolutely kissable.

"Fine!" Lance huffed. "I'll ask Shiro to help me!" He crossed his arms and stalked away, still in possession of the letters Keith had written.

Quiznak.

Keith did not need Shiro knowing about his gay crushes. Shiro would probably try lecturing him or something, and then Keith would only want to die even more. Besides, Shiro had always had weird "dad senses," and he'd probably guess that the letters were to Lance right off the bat. And then he'd screw up his love life and whatever was left of his social life, Keith would be utterly humiliated, Lance would probably freak out and run away, and, next thing you know, Keith's found on the floor with a knife stabbed through his heart. Wait, one of those things is not like the others.

Keith's messy, illogical thoughts were interrupted by voices in the hallway, then footsteps approaching his direction a couple moments later. He turned to find Pidge, with an unreadable expression on her face, heading straight towards him. She stopped abruptly in front of him, and looked up.

"I'm so sorry that Lance is a dense idiot, but you seriously need to confess to him. The only way you're going to get it through his freaking head that you like him is if you tell him. He's too much of an idiot to understand that the person in those letters is him," she said. Keith's eyes widened.

"When did- Who-?"

Pidge rolled her eyes. "Lance showed me the love letters just a second ago. He says that he's going to Shiro. I can't believe he doesn't realize it's him..." she trailed off, and suddenly grinned. "That's probably why he seems so ticked, though. Jealous that you might be crushing on someone else," she pondered.

If Keith's eyes could have widened a bit more, they certainly couldn't now.

"Jealous?"

The short paladin groaned. "Oh my god, you both are idiots." She shook her head. "You've both been pining over each other for so long, and it's so annoying. Just go make out or something- it's gross with all the sexual tension in the rooms when you're around each other." With that last statement, she shoved Keith aside and continued walking down the hallway. Keith half-considered making a move after her, to explain what the quiznak she meant by 'Lance is jealous,' but decided against it.
