DO NOT join this critique if you are not a self-assured writer. Build your confidence first and limit your participation in book clubs where feedbacks received are mostly positive.
Criticism, however well-intentioned it is, is never easy to accept. We know that. You know that.
Here, we dish out not only one but several criticisms and you have to swallow it in one go. But that's our job, to find fault and weaknesses in your book for you to fix them. If you're a newbie and not used to this, you will take this as a personal attack on you. You'll lash out, so nothing good will come out of this. Worst, you'll be discouraged to write.
WE WELCOME discussions, but we won't tolerate any high-handed attitude. If we retaliated in kind, and we guarantee you we will, do not cry foul. Please be reminded that it is your book that is being subjected to a critique, not the critics.
To the writer concerned, lay-off your minion/s. If we received another message, we will post your deleted comments. We'll direct them here and let them decide who the injured party is. We had considered deleting the result of our critique, but as things develop, we decided not to.
WE STILL have pending evaluations (writers who had completed their payment ), if your story is one of them and you want to back out, please inform us. To be fair, we will read, give votes, and leave reaction in the comment section of your book.
WE COMMEND the writers/ authors who had engaged in a productive discussion with us. Special praise to those who had staunchly defended their plot. We got you thinking though, right?
