Two men exchanged manly embraces, thanking each other before accompanying two little toddlers running around within a small field of daffodils.

"DADDY!"

A small child wearing a bright (f/c) summer outfit ran towards their father, (h/l) (h/c) locks following behind you as the wind embraced your being.

"(Nickname), how's my little (gender)?!" The father exclaimed, lifting his 5 year old into a tight embrace as you giggled hysterically.

"Now (Name), promise me that you'll be a good girl for Mr. Ral while I'm gone, okay?"

"You going away again daddy?"

"I'm afraid I do have to go again (Nickname),"

The 5 year old briefly frowned upon hearing this, but immediately smiled once your father planted kisses all over your chubby cheeks. 

"But daddy will be back very soon (Name), you won't even notice that I'm gone!"

"Promise daddy?" You asked anxiously, raising your tiny pinky in uncertainty.

"I promise!" He said, trying to sound as enthusiastic as he could muster, wrapping his own pinky around yours.

How he hated breaking their promises...

"I love you daddy," You mumbled, hugging him as tightly as you could, never wanting to let go.
