Serenity's P.o.v
--------------------------------------------
"Are we going the right way?" my dad asked. I looked around and nodded.
"Positive we are. You've sent me here since I was 10 dad. I think I know the way to my cabin!" I said, and it was true. Walking these paths all summer for six years, I knew this place better than my hometown.
"And you have the same bunk mates?" My mom asked.
"Lillie, Levi, and Caden. Yep!" I popped my p. I turned, entering my cabin unit. My cabin was the one furthest away from anyone else.
"I'm not sure how I feel about my baby girl bunking with two boys!" My dad said, and I rolled my eyes.
"Dad. One cabin. Three rooms. Two bedrooms. One living room. It's not like we sleep in the same bed!" I said. I got my key and put it in the door, although I figured it was already unlocked. I opened the door and walked through the familiar living room type room, then turned to the left to the girls room. Suddenly arms were around me.
"Serenity! You're the last one here!" I heard Lillie's voice in my ear. I laughed and hugged her back.
"Aren't I always, Lil?" I said, and she let go of me. Her head was tilted, and her brown hair was in a ponytail about down to her waist, but not quite since it was up.
My parents put my bags on my bed just as Levi poked his head in the door frame. His hair flopped in front of his face, and he flipped it away.
"Hey! Is that Serenity's voice I hear?" He said, narrowing his eyes.
"No. She died two months ago, I'm just her twin sister that our parents kept a secret until now, Riley. I was hidden in the basement until my moment came to replace Serenity." I said , rolling my eyes. "Of corse it's Serenity you idiot!"
Lillie laughed, but Levi sighed rolling his eyes.
"Yo Caden! Serenity is here!" Levi called, leaving the room.
"Don't you think I know that already?" Caden said, walking into the room and pulling me into a hug. We were the same height, so our chins rested perfectly on the others shoulder.
"I missed my girl." He whispered in my ear.
"And I missed my boy." I replied
"Should I be concerned about this?" My dad asked, raising his eyebrows.
"No" he said
"Nope" I said, and I let go of Caden.
"Well we better go now sweetie." My mom said, giving me a hug. "Promise you'll-"
"I promise I'll write every day." I cut her off. I knew what she was going to say, she gave me the speech every year. She opened her mouth to say more, but I stopped her, "mom, I promise. You've sent me here for six years, I know the rules and promises to make." I said. Tears came to her eyes, and I wiped them away. "Love you mom."
"Hey! What am I-" dad started
"No dad. You aren't chop liver. Where does that saying come from? No don't answer that. I love you too." I said, hugging him.
Once they finally left, I plopped down on the couch and leaned against Caden.
"Welcome back to camp." He said, kissing my head. He suddenly stiffened, and seemed to pull away from reality. I got off the couch.
"Lillie! Levi! He's getting something!" I called. They came running in within two seconds.
"Is he okay?" Lillie asked.
"Oh yea. Just give him a minute." I said.
Oh I forgot to mention something about the camp, and my friends.
It's a superhero camp.
Caden can see the future and make force fields.
Lillie can turn invisible and heal.
Levi can teleport and absorb your powers by touching you if he wants.
I have control over nature, you know, the weather, talking to animals, making plants grow, all that good stuff and walk through solid objects at will.
Caden was seeing the future now, and judging by the look on his face, it wasn't a good future.
