21: Catch up

Angela walks out Sandy Motel it has been two weeks since she stayed at that old run down motel. She didn't want to leave in case Dre shows up. She fears for her life knowing what Dre was capable of.
She wanted to tell him about her secret life but she couldn't bring herself to tell him. The way he acted when one of his men turn against me made her go against that.

Now she was in another town hiding out and she was now carrying his baby. Yesterday she visited the doctor he confirm what she had already assume she just wish the circumstances was different, she wishes things was a lot different and she wasn't a police, life would be a lot different, she pictures the smile Dre would have if he knew she was pregnant with his baby; he would be happy she thought.

Maybe just maybe one day they would be married and she would be Mrs Adams but none of that would happen cause of the secret she was hiding, by now she knew he would be searching for her. Yesterday when she look at the news her apartment complex was burnt to the ground. Thank God no one was in it at that time of the fire cause she would of felt like she would of something to do with it.

She knew Dre was behind the fire. Wild thoughts fills her minds thinking about all the things Dre could do to her. Those thoughts made her blood run cold. She grabs her bags and headed out the motel on to the streets of the quiet town.

White car stops next to her and a dark skin guy with tattoos came out, Angela watches him as he smirks at her. "Where to pretty lady?"he ask her

Angela had no clue where she was going all she know she needed to leave this place before Dre found out where she was, knowing Dre he was out searching for her.

"Far away from this place"she replies.

"Well let me take you that place"he says taking her bags and putting in his trunk. Then opening the passenger side of his car for her to get in.

Angela was hesitant at first, she didn't know him and yet she didnt want Dre to catch her so she got in. Rap music fills the car.
"So pretty lady what's your name?"
"Amanda but you can call me Amy" she didnt want to tell him her real name in case he some how had a connection with Dre.

"Name is Khalid but every body calls me Kaine" Angela nods while looking out the window, she notice she was no longer in peaceful town she spent two weeks but now a busy place almost like Richmond.
"Where are we?"she asks him.
"Mt. Horne"
She just simple nods and looks out the windows, she heard so much stories about this town it, the crime rate was more than Richmond, drugs were being sold in school. The police was afraid to even come out.

Kaine pulls up to a house parks his car and got out. Angela looks at him as he approach two men that was on the verandah smoking and quarreling about who West Indian player was a better batsman.
Kaine joins in the arguement saying that both their choices were good. One of them notice her and pointed it out Kaine who eventually tells them how they met.

Angela didnt have a clue where the hell she was going or what was going to but she hope that Kaine was taking her to a place where she didn't have to worry about Dre finding her.

Kaine walks back to the car and pulls out the drive way. "Mine telling me why you out here all by your self" he asks her glancing at her for a minute and then the road.

Her words got stook in her throat she didnt know what she was going to tell him hopefully the lie she was about to tell him is good enough for him.
"Am on my way to meet my cousins in Georgia up comes this car parks right in front of me. Two guys came out both wearing masks and they started asking for money but I didn't have cash on me so they took my car.

"That's sick" he says believing her. Angela turns towards the window a sly smile grew on her face thinking about how dumb this fool was to eat up a lie like that.

Its been weeks since Adrian had last seen Queenie she was busy with her business and so was he. He was starting to think she was avoiding him, when he showed up at the club unannounced to surprise her; she acted like she had seen a ghost and was glancing at the door every five seconds.

He wonders if she was seeing someone else, he hired a private investigator to follow her most of the pictures that he had got he seen her getting out of a black maybach. He also found out that he was Andre Adams who was known as Saigon his street name.

Even though he finds out that she was cheating he still thinks that she was hiding something, his phone rings from where he stood in his office he stayed back a hour or two to clear some of his work load.

Looking at it he saw it was the P.I he answers "what did you find" he said getting straight to the point.

"Belinda Adams was formerly known as Haven she worked for a drug dealer name King. They had a love hate relationship. They had a child together but dies three months after, she no longer works for him after years of selling drugs she gave that up and started the franchise but she is still involve in the drug game she secretly works along side her brother who runs the Richmond Drug Empire"

With that new information Adrian was now seeing Queenie in a new light.
