why?, a simple word and a simple question......
i bolted up straight that morning knowing it would still be the same like every morning. i jumped out of my pj's and got ready for school. my mom decided to drive me to school since my dad left for work early. my mom and i didnt talk to eachother that much. she liked to treat me like an adult so there was pretty much no snuggling or talking about any problems im having in life. "rosemarie, i dont think i'll be able to pick you up after school." .i always hated it when someone called me by my full name but in this case my mom was the only "somebody". "im sure you can walk by yourself since your almost a full grown woman." she added. "yes mom..." i said annoyingly. my dad, my dad is different he treats me like im only 6 (btw im 17) . so there were definetly a lot of talks about how i was doing. as soon as i reached school my mom said " rosemarie i forgot to tell you this , we're going to have dinner with your grandparents so i expect you to be your proper lady-like self,ok?". "yes mom" i answered. i went straight to my locker to grab my first period books. someone suddenly grabbed me by the shoulder. it was kiarra. kiarra is the kind of person you would expect to be in a comedy bar beacuse of her over confident , funny personality. it was again one of her fail attempts to suprise me. "your no fun to scare!! you should really try to have emotions rose!" she said jokingly. "i do have emotions i just dont get scared when you do one of your fail attempts to scare me!" . we both laughed uncontrollingly. the bell rang. "i have to get to class i dont wanna be late." i said. "your such a goody two shoes!" she said annoyingly. "whatever i'll see you in second period. "if i even go to second period!" she whispered "i heard that!" i said annoyingly.second period was fine a bit boring but at least kiarra was there. both of us agreed to hang out in my house. later during lunch i bumped to a guy.
chapter 2
we locked our eyes at eachother just until i stupidly broke the silence . "ummm.. you've got a little saliva on your chin...." he said. i was so distracted that i didnt even notice i was drooling. "oh my god! im so sorry .... i was distracted....and i was-" . i started blushing. "no appologiese needed.. umm... im luke by the way."
"hi, im rosemarie but everyone calls me rose. i havent seen you around here." "ummm..... yeah! im sort of new here.. im kind of trying to find my way to the engineering lab." "oh! your taking engeneering ?!?! so am i! maybe i could show you the way! .. well if its fine with you?" "ummm... yeah sure ! thanks by the way!" while we were walking to the lab i couldnt help but stare at him. when we got to the lab he sat beside me. later when we haf to pair up he asked if i could be his partner. i said yes.
