Your child wakes up at night (G)

You were sitting under the sheets, going through your emails on your laptop.

Grayson was lying next to you, texting on his phone.

It was almost midnight, but you liked to go through your email when it was quiet and your four years old daughter was asleep.

You heard quick footsteps from the hallway, following with a light knock on your bedroom door.

"Come in!" Grayson said and soon your daughter rushed in, sobbing like crazy.

"Baby, what happened?" Grayson asked, sitting up. He looked so worried, it made you pout.

"Fluffy is missing! I can't find her anywhere! Daddy, what if someone kidnapped her!"

She panicked and ran towards our bed. She went to Grayson's side and he took her in his arms immediately.

Fluffy was her little stuffed lamb and she couldn't sleep without it.

"Honey, I'm sure we can find her. Let's go look for her. Mommy and daddy will help",
you said, stroking her hair.

"Yeah, let's go. Don't worry, sweetie", Grayson said, picking your daughter up and walking towards her room.

"Did you look under the bed, honey?" you asked.

"No, I didn't. Can you look, daddy? I'm too scared to look under there, it's so dark."

"Of course. You can stay here with mommy."

Grayson walked towards her bed and knelt down to have a look.

And there it was, Fluffy lying under the bed.

"Princess, look who's here", Grayson said, holding the lamb up for your daughter to see.

"FLUFFY!" she screamed and ran to Grayson.

She squeezed Fluffy really hard, glad to have her favorite toy back.

"Thank you, daddy! You saved Fluffy from the monster living under my bed! You are so brave, daddy!" she said, amazed by her father.

"It's no problem, babe. But can I get a hug from my favorite little girl?" he asked, opening his arms for her.

Your daughter hugged Grayson and said:

"Mommy! You helped too! I wanna give you a hug too!"

You giggled at your daughter and joined the family hug.

"But now it's way past your bedtime, little missy. So off to bed we go", you said and put your daughter to bed.

She cuddled with Fluffy and looked up at us with her hazel eyes.

"Goodnight, sweetie", Grayson said and kissed her forehead.

"Hey! Daddy, you forgot something! Fluffy needs a kissy too!", your daughter said.

"Oh yes! How could I forget! Goodnight, Fluffy, be safe and don't get lost again!"
Grayson said and kissed Fluffy too.

"Silly daddy!" your daughter giggled.

"Yes, daddy's being silly tonight, isn't he?" you joined her giggles.

You also kissed her forehead and said goodnight, but unlike Grayson, you didn't forget about Fluffy and gave her a kiss too.

You turned off the lights and went back to your shared bedroom with Grayson.

"We should go to bed too, I'm pretty tired",
he said and went under the sheets.

"Yeah, me too. Goodnight", you said and cuddled up to him.
