So after the next hour ended I told Cassie –who was with Gabriel again- that I’ll be with Briana and we headed over her dorm
She had decorate it, with pictures of her and her parents and some friends on the side tables while on the walls, between the posters of the singers she liked was some of her awesome drawings. Fairys, mostly but also couples, or even girls wearing weird but cute clothes. I sat on her bed, still fascinated by her skills
-You draw amazing. I told her as she opened the closet probably to show me an outfit for the bonfire.
-Thanks. She said smiling and I predicted she took out a jean short, a black one and a sporty gray one placing them on the bed. Then she took out 3 shirts. One simple white t-shirt, one black with trucks on it and one pink with a stamp saying ‘’Time for party’’
-The pink one with the black short. I replied before she even had the time to ask me
-Thanks again. She said chuckling and start to put her clothes back to the closet. When she was done, she sat crossed led in front of me
-What do you want to know? She asked
-There was something between you and Vincent wasn’t it? I asked and she nodded.
-Yeah. My brother, including Gabriel and Max were good friends with Vincent. I liked him but he wasn’t giving me attention so I let it go but then he actually start giving me attention. She smiled bitterly
-I was a fool. He was flirting with me and I did the same. And then he told me he loved me and kissed me. We start dating, my brother was cool with that. And then one night he said take our relationship to the next level. And being a fool I actually agreed. After that, I think 2 days later, I saw him at school with another girl, kissing by my locker. After that the boys stop hanging out together and of course I started hated Vincent.
I nodded when she finished and took her hand in mine to comfort her although I knew this was in the past. So Vincent wasn’t a good guy either. He did see fine to me though but after that there was no way to be around him again.
-Boys are just so stupid. I said
-I know. We are more stupid that we actually believe them. She shrugged a little and I gave her a supporting smile
-Anyway… What about you? Why don’t you let any boy around you? She asked. If she was someone else I wouldn’t talk about it because even with Cassie, sometime
I didn’t want to talk about this but Briana was different. I trusted her and we were so alike. So I took a deep breath and start to explaining the situation.
-Found my boyfriend making out with my best friend on my couch. I simply said and her lips formed and ‘’O’’ which she covered with her hand
-It’s okay. I said
-Oh god. This is awful. She finally said
-It was pretty much yeah. I don’t know what hurt me more. The betrayal from him or her? I shook my head, shoving the though in the back of my mind again
-What do you think I should wear? I asked her to change the subject. Derek wasn’t my favorite thing to talk about as well as not my concern anymore.
-Jean shorts with a black shirt. She shrugs.
-Something like that. We’re not gonna stay there all night long right? I asked her and now she was the one who shrugged
-Don’t know. Oh and btw, my brother said that..well you’re gonna hate this but better to spill it out know. Keith said that we’re gonna be together in the same bonfire. I looked at her confused
-Define ‘’we’’.
-Me, you, Miranda, Cassie, Victoria, Samantha, Keith, Max and.. Gabriel. I looked at her in astonishment with my jaw hitting the floor for the second time in a day again. In the same bonfire with Gabriel, wearing shorts and bikini?
-I’m not coming. I replied without even thinking it.
-Come on Mon! You’re gonna be with me and the girls and Keith I though you liked Keith!
-Well he do seems nice but I won’t-
-Pleaseeeeeeee! She interrupts me, clanking my sleeve tight and causing me to laugh. She’s acting like a fiver year old. I’m thinking about it for a moment. Gabriel is not the best person and definetelly the last I wanted to share my bonfire with, but the rest of them seem fine and the girls are my friends. I will just ignore him
-Okay but you’re sitting beside me and we’re not staying there all night long. I replied and she clapped her hands together.
After that I return to my room, to find Cassie typing on her phone again. I swear this girl was somehow sync with her phone.
-You know? Gabriel and his friends gonna be with us in the bonfire tomorrow. Behave. She told me and her attention was back to her phone again. She was smiling meaning she should be texting with Gabriel. I rolled my eyes.
Tomorrow night was going to be a difficult night at the bonfire and the morning as well since I would meet Vincent somehow in between the lessons and after what Briana told me I didn’t want to.
I slept later on after reading City of Ashes. When I woke up next day, I had to wake Cassie up as well since she was too busy texting until after midnight. After that we got dressed and head to school.
It was Friday meaning that later, the night was the big party to the beach known as the bonfire.
First class today was Biology meaning that the first person I would met it will be Gabriel Pierson. Oh how great.
-Morning. I didn’t reply, take out my book and pen and look forward.
-Can’t wait to see you tonight in only your bikini. In that I have to reply.
-You wish. I’m not gonna take off my clothes just like every single other girl out there just to draw attention. He arch his brow
-You won’t swim? I shook my head no but really I haven’t even thought of that. I liked swimming and this would be my last chance before I had to focused on the lessons here.
I put the pen between my teeth and start biting it. It was a habit I had since I was young
-You don’t have to bite the pen sweetheart. I can show you a lot of other places were you could put your lips. He said sarcastically and I turned to him
-Or I can shove that pen right into your- I stopped, taking a deep breath calming myself down. He was getting under my skin and I wasn’t going to let him too
-Yeah? Go on… He say with a smirk on his face. I groan in frustration and without answering I turned my attention back to the teacher. To my surprise he didn’t bothered me after that although I could see him starring at time from time to time.
The rest of the day was really quite. I met Vincent once but told him, I had homework to do and that I will meet him tonight on the bonfire. I didn’t really wanted to get attached to him after what Briana told me although he seemed like a good guy at first. But not now.
As soon as the lesson were over I headed to my dorm with Cassie. She took a shower and then was trying to decide what to wear, even her make up while I just lay on my bed and read my book since the bonfire party wouldn’t start until 8.
Around 6 I started to getting ready as well. Firstly I took a shower and then wore my black bikini. I decide to wear a jean short I had with a tank black top, with superman on it, which was leaving the left shoulder bare. For shoes I choose my converse and I didn’t really paid so much attention on the make up. I only wore pencil and mascara. No eyeliner or blush.
Cassie chose a black short with a blue strapless shirt and her black bikini as well
-Ready? She asked me
-Yep. Let’s go. I took my back and hurried beside her closing the door of the dorm behind me. I guess it was time for the party
