Chapter 36

Friday, November 11th 12:05pm

Lauren sat at their usual lunch table and took out her food to start eating.

After a few minutes Ashton and Calum showed up to the table, "Hey Laur."

They both said in unison. "Hey guys, where's Anne?"

Calum already had a mouth full of food so Lauren turned to Ashton for an answer.

"She said she had a few more things to coordinate for the concert tomorrow, so she went to the library. She said she'd only be a few minutes."

Lauren nodded "You two ready for tomorrow's concert?"

"Definitely, I'm excited to be changing things up a little bit. Our stage presence is gonna be epic with the choreography you got Normani to help with. I'm also stoked that I get to do a duet with my best bud!"

Lauren smiled, she too was excited for the concert, "Our duet is gonna be amazing Ash!"

"I know I can't wait. Isn't your family coming tomorrow?" Ashton questioned

"Yeah they are, it's been awhile since they've come to one so I'm excited."

"Have you told Camila yet? I'm sure it's gonna suck to not be able to really acknowledge each other."

Lauren's smile faded a little she hadn't told Camila yet because she didn't know how to tell her firstly and she didn't know how Camila would take it.

"Uhh no I haven't told her yet, what if it hurts her feelings? I don't want to do that, it's not like I want to act like she's not there because trust me that's the last thing I wanna do, but I don't really have a choice and that sucks."

Ashton sat silently trying to come up with an alternative but before he could say anything Calum chimed in

"Easy just have Anne arrange for you to have a private dressing room and make Camila a special dressing room pass, so that way when we have breaks and stuff she can come see you. Then after the concert if your parents want to have dinner together have it and ask if you can stay at Anne's for the weekend and stay with Camila. Problem solved."

Both Lauren and Ashton turned to Calum surprised because they didn't even know he was paying attention.

"Wow, that's actually great advice. Thanks Calum."

He gave her a thumbs up and went right back to eating his food.

Ashton and Lauren looked at each other before laughing and shaking their heads. Lauren pulled out her phone to text Anne.

Hey Anne, I need a favor. Can you have the venue give me a private dressing room and then make 1 special dressing room pass, that will allow Camila into my dressing room during breaks & stuff?

Hey, yeah sure no prob. You want one for your family too or just Camila? I can have it set up to where only someone w/ the pass can be near your dressing room other than your bandmates & me of course.
