Dear Reader, I first off want to say thank you for potentially reading my novel. This novel is based off the war in Afghanistan. This war lasted for 13 years (2001-2014) and still currently lingers throughout the world itself. This poem book is in the style of a journal and is based off of the poetic style that was used to write one of my favorite books of all time, Inside Out and Back Again by Thanhha Lai. (I recommend reading that book, it is one of the most amazing books I have ever read). I especially love this text because of the enormous amount of education that it can provide for readers of all ages. Myself, being raised in an American household, with an average life, don't know the experiences of any type of war. Writing this novel has showed me an insider of what war is really like, and showed me what it is like to put yourself in the shoes of a child, raised in a third world country during war. This text has been reviewed many times, and is sure to bring emotions. Enjoy my work, and please leave feedback for anything extra that I could add to the book and possibly a sequel. Thank you.
