Joyful Smiles

Thunder rolls across the sky, illuminating every crack and crevice as the sun would for a split second. Bats fly across the sky over the abandoned building, rusty, old, and falling apart. Lightning flashes again illuminating the gate sign. Joyful Smiles the gate said, but there was nothing joyful to smile about as it was a psychiatric hospital or as you know it, a mental asylum or a nut house if you want to be comical about the matter. This place wasn't a joyful place as there was nothing to smile about. There had been many unknown deaths at this not so joyful place, some say they were suicides, others say they had been experimenting on the patients.

For our unlucky souls here they were kidnapped, 2 girls, good girls they are too. In a rusty old metallic room they lay. Her hands chained to the wall and unconscious her head dangles, brown hair hangs over her body, this girl would go by the name of Layla, a brit, english muffin, crumpit and tea. Then we have are good little girl, her parents abandoned her as a child, mentally damaged by watching her only sister die in a car wreck suffering from PTSD, almost somewhat belonging to the asylum she sits in. Her name, Aj. She sits opposite to Layla, but her legs were chained to the wall as her hands are bound behind her back and her mouth taped shut as she lays on her stomach passed out and unconscious, her hair is long, straight and black, it covers the ground in front of where her head lays.

CRACK, Aj's eyes shot open to the gunshot like thunder. Her head is dazed and she is unaware of her surroundings. She tried to get up but her hands wouldn't move as they were bound behind her back. She moved her legs, but she felt restriction. She pulled and pulled but realization slowly began to scare her as she realized where she was.

She tried to scream, but her mouth was taped shut. She screamed and screamed, but the shriek couldn't be heard as the tape across her mouth buries the noise muffling her scream. Her eyes began to well up and soon mascara painted her cheeks crying, screaming, and struggling violently. The door slammed open causing Aj to jump and Layla to wake up. The figure was tall but unrecognisable, all Aj and Layla could see was a silhouette of a tall figure.

The figure began to walk towards Aj. Aj started to struggle harder and scream louder. The mysterious person ripped the tape off of her mouth, pulled her up by her hair so the two were face to face.

Mysterious Person: Go ahead scream as loud as you want little girl no one is going to hear you. Only your little friend that I've brought along will. You two are never getting out of here. You're mine, forever.

The figure dropped her head to the floor. Aj was paralyzed with fear she could only scream and cry some more. The large figure ripped the chains out of the wall and dragged Aj out of the room by the chains attached to her ankles. Layla could only watch as Aj tossed back and forth trying to make somewhat of an attempt to escape.

Mysterious figure: We are going to play a game Aj and I'll be back for your friend too.

Aj:(half crying) Layla!!! Layla!!!!

The door slammed shut.

Layla: AJ!
