A MGA GUSTONG MATUTO PAKIBASA ^_^

Hindi naman ganoon kahirap ang hangul

unlike japanese or chinese(omo chinese

is just so difficult)

Let's start with the consonants.

ㅂ = B/P/M

ㅈ = J/CH

ㄷ = D

ㄱ = G/K

ㅁ = M

ㄴ = N

ㄹ = R/L

ㅎ = H

ㅋ = K

ㅌ = T

ㅊ = CH

ㅍ = P

ㅅ = S/T (depende)

Yep, walang F, Q, Z, X, V, C sa korean

alphabet pero meron naman pong mga

substitutes

Like:

F = P

Z = J

V = B

C = K

There's really no Q and X in korean.

That's why koreans have a hard time

learning english because hangul has a

fixed pronunciation.

For them, "I" will always sound "ee"

unlike in english, the pronunciation of "I" may

differ.

Sit - "i" is pronounced as "ee"

Hide - "i" is pronounced as "ai"

Itong mga double consants (tinawag

silang double consonants kasi dinoble

yung consonant. Ano daw? XD) ay mas

madiin isalita compared sa yung isa lang.

(but you don't really have to worry much

about the pronunciation as long as it

would sound like it)

ㅃ = PP

ㅉ = JJ/CH

ㄸ = TT

ㄲ = KK

ㅆ = SS (at times TT, ill explain later)

You might ask paano malaman if ㄱ is G

or K? Or R and L? Or J and Ch?

You have to listen to a lot of korean

dramas or korean natives. Take note of

how they pronounce the words. Ang

totoo naman kasi, ang ㄱ ay hindi naman

talaga g or k. Ibang letra siya at may

unique way na pag pronounce. Maaapply

rin ito sa ibang consonants. Ang

romanization ay nakakatulong lang sa pag

compare ng pronunciation sa korean sa

ingles.

Ex.

정말 = jeongmal (sounds a little bit like

jeongmal and cheongmal combined)

가지마 = gajima (sounds a little bit like

gajima and kajima combined)

모르겠어 = moleugesseo (sounds a little

bit like moreugesseo and moleugesseo

combined)

바보 = babo (sounds a little bit like babo

and pabo combined but not bapo. You'll

understand more about it as we go

through the lessons.)

But as for the double consonants, you

should really follow its given

pronounciation.

Kailangan sundin talaga yung sa double

consonants. Vowels:

There are a lot of them so please bear

with it.

ㅏ = a (as in like apple)

ㅓ = eo (ipronounce niyo yung "awe" na

word. Ganyang ganyan din ang

pagkabigkas ng 'eo'.

Common pronounciation mistake: eyow)

ㅗ = o (just the usual short "o")

ㅜ = u (like "oo" in book)

ㅣ = i (like "i" in sit)

ㅔ = e (like elephant)

ㅐ = ae (hmmm this one's hard to

explain. It's like letter "e" but a bit

different. You might want to use google

translate to listen to the letter's

pronounciation.) oo papakinggan niyo

lang naman sa google translate eh okay

naman basta hwag lang magtranslate.

ㅡ = eu (like letter "u" but try to stretch

your mouth sidewards)

Tulad lang ito ng mga basic vowels,

meron lang ngang letter "y")

ㅛ = yo

ㅠ = yu

ㅕ = yeo

ㅑ = ya

ㅒ = yae

ㅖ = ye

For the charaters below, just search in

the internet for their proper

pronunciations kasi actually na notice ko

ibaiba ang pronunciation nila paminsan

kaya yan practice lang and gather more

information para makuha niyo yung

tamang pronunciation.

ㅘ = wa

ㅚ = oe

ㅟ = wi

ㅙ = wae

ㅞ = we

ㅝ = wo

ㅢ = ui

ㅇ = "ng" or no sound at all.

Ps. Sa next chapter ko po ipopost yung phrases 😘😘
