"COME ON MUM!" I was very excited. My first day with new friends, teachers and experiences. As I step out of the car, my friend lily who I had known since I could remember was there with her mum waiting for me. We stepped into the big doors, surrounded by strangers that looked their happiest selves.
"Hello there everyone! My name is Tracy and I am one of the many Pre-School teachers working here at Jackaranda Grove."
Everyone is clapping and smiling.
"I would like everyone to follow me as I will be giving you all a tour of your children's new school!"
We all followed Tracy around and saw the amazing place full of new toys, big tv's and many books to read! Out the back there was a farm behind the school which had goats, sheep, pigs and chickens, which we would visit once a week to collect any eggs and to check in on them. If we had spare time we would do it more than once. I made new friends in pre school to which most I know to this day. Ben, Sam, Lachlan, lily, Annabelle and Sydney. I made amazing memories in pre school and I wish I could return to them and re love the whole experience.
My first time ever touching a sheep was in pre school and I loved it. We had the opportunity to take the wool home once they had sheered the sheep, and I was over the moon excited. We we able to take the eggs home, and if we were lucky, if there were baby chickens hatching we could take one home aswell, but at home we didn't have the time and space to do that.
When we had our Christmas concerts, we use to dress up in elf and santa costumes and sing along to Christmas carols. It was one of the best times I had there. I have photos and videos of this but it is more private so I would prefer to keep them to myself :).
We would have dress up days, costume days, special days where we did Easter egg hunts or other special games such as that. My favourite was when we had a costume day and the theme was artist, so lily and I dressed up as artists and it was the most amazing, spot on costume I believe I have ever worn !
My best friend lily and I use to be the two muck ups in the class. We would cover our selves in sunscreen then dive in the sand pit, we would run around like crazy but most of all we would have the best time of our lives.
Around that time, out of pre school at my house lily and I were in my bedroom. Now I don't know exactly why we did this, but I always look back and laugh to this day. We would trash my bedroom and basically flip it upside down. So when ever lily came over we were both banned from my bedroom which was pretty funny.
Even though lily and I use to be so naughty all the time, we were the favourites of the class and if we ever go in public and meet our old teachers they still greet us and talk to us, which I believe is something amazing.
I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to experience an amazing childhood full of love and laughs, and I would never want to change it.
