~Alice in Anime~

Prologue

Kagami Alice was a girl that lives a normal, happy life. Her grades was about averge, straight A's every now and then. Alice was popular, guys confessed to her at least twice a month. Being nice as she was, Alice rejected them kindly. She had lots of friends, treating equally and fairly. Her friends in the Otaku Club were her closest friends.

Yep, Kagami Alice is an otaku. A hardcore one too. Everyday after school, once she gets home, the first thing she does is to watch anime on her laptop in her room.

Her family has always been fine with it because Alice would never spend more than 4 hours in her room, excluding nighttime. Actually, her mother supported her being an otaku, since the mother is one herself.

It was that fateful day that changed her life. While 15 year old Alice was walking in the park, a gang of teenage boys came up to her and started to flirt and mess around with her then somehow going to them pushing Alice around.

The memory was vague but it ended up with Alice flat on the ground, a woman's body on top of her. The boys were running away now, but blood was everywhere. She couldn't tell if it was her own but she never found out, because she lost conscious.

When she woke up, she found that she was in the hospital with a bandage over her head. Her father and older brother was there but her mother was nowhere to be found. Alice felt the grief and tension in the room and it engulfed her even more when she asked where Mother was.

When her brother broke out in tears, she guessed what happened and she didn't like it.

Now when she goes to school, she always have a dark aura around her. She now thought that she lived a boring life. Guys stopped confessing to her, with only one brave soul to confessed every few months. Alice lets them down harder then ever.

Her friends became the ones only from the Otaku Club.

At home, she'd stay in her room, coming out when called or to eat. Her family rarely see her, only on her birthday does she come out of her room for the whole day.

Yet no matter what, on the anniversary on that fateful day, no one sees her. 

7 months later and her father remarries a lady who looked and acted the opposite of her mother.

The step-mother didn't like it that Alice stayed in her room all day long, never interacting with the family. The step-mother had only seen her during the wedding, wearing black like it was a funeral.

Alice wanted to isolate herself from the real world. She wanted nothing more than the life of an anime. Where she could be happy.

But what she didn't know was that her wish was going to come true.
