#86 His family come over for dinner

Your POV

I heard a knock at the door.
I answered it and was greeted by Maura and Bobby. I smiled hugging them and inviting them in. They had come for dinner.
"Where's Niall and the baby?" Bobby asked.
"He's upstairs with her, she needed a bath, I'll go see if they're ready" I said and they nodded sitting down at the table.

I quickly went upstairs into the family bathroom. I saw Niall getting our 1 year old daughter Isabelle, out of the bath and wrapping her in a towel.
"Your parents are here" I told him.
"I won't be long now, I just need to change her into her pyjamas" Niall said.
I went into Isabelle's nursery and got her a clean nappy and some pyjamas for her.
I gave them to Niall and he got her dressed.

We both walked downstairs, Niall carrying Isabelle. Niall placed Isabelle in her high chair at the top of the table and strapped her in.
"Mum! Dad! It's so good to see you both" He said hugging his parents .
We both sat down opposite his parents and began to eat.

"Has she said her first word yet?" Bobby asked gesturing to his granddaughter who was next to him. We shook our heads. "Not yet, we think she'll start walking soon though, she always holds herself up against our legs or against the couch" I told them.
"That definitely a sign that she'll walk soon, Niall and Greg started doing that about a month before they actually walked, how long has she been doing it?" Maura asked.
"She started doing it last week" I told her.

"No, Isabelle, I only just gave you a bath" I heard Niall say.
Me,Maura and Bobby looked towards Niall and Isabelle.
Isabelle had food all over her face and clothes.
I took a picture of her while me, Maura and Bobby laughed.
"You're so messy" Niall mumbled while wiping her face.
"That's kids of expected,she's a baby and she's your child! Your were worse than that when you was a baby, you got food all over the table and floor not just yourself" Bobby told Niall and Niall rolled his eyes playfully.
"It probably was a bad idea to give her a bath before dinner" Niall said and we all agreed.

Maura and Bobby had stayed after dinner, they were still here. Niall was in the living room with Isabelle , getting her to sleep and I was talking to Maura and Bobby , still sat at the table.

"I'm glad Niall married you, he couldn't have picked a better girl" Maura said. I smiled,blushing slightly. "Thank you" I said and she smiled.
"You make him so happy , and you've given him the best gift he could possible ask for, which is Isabelle" Bobby said and I smiled.
"He makes me happy too" I said.

We all stood up and walked in to the living room.
The sight we were met with was the cutest sight in the whole world.
Niall was lied on the couch asleep with our sleeping baby ok his chest. He has his arms wrapped around her Protectively.
