The Overtaking Series

Prologue

I'm finally writing again. This is going to be a trilogy. I have a basic plot line planned out, so we'll see how this goes. not sure how often I'll update. 

Up top is the song of the update though. They'll have nothing to do with the story or anything but if I find them catchy, I'll put them on here. It's called Love to Hate it by Off Bloom

The night is dark as he slips past the gate. This was the place. The house of the vampire who actually had a kid. With a warlock. The man hadn't thought it possible. They'd managed to keep the girl a secret until now. She had come of age to start learning magic so they had to enroll her into school. How they kept this girl a secret until she was sixteen was a mystery to the man. A year later the man's plan is finally ready.

He was going to kill Stacia and Nathan Nicholson. Then he would take the girl, Serena he believed her name was, and perform magical experiments on her to figure out how she exists. Apparently, she's immortal. Supernatural doctors have said she'll stop aging anywhere from seventeen to twenty-three.

It would be one against three but his dark magic and determination was more powerful than them. He knew it. He was at the back door now. He could see them. They were sitting around the dining room table laughing and enjoying their food. Not for long.

Without even speaking an incantation, the back door flew open and the windows all burst. They were all caught off guard, which gave him exactly what he needed. Killing them was almost too easy. He took all the oxygen out of them with a simple spell. They're dead in seconds.

The girl stands at the table. She looks angry. She says an incantation under her breath. A shield spell. She knows she can't take him. She turns and runs out one of the broken windows. He chases her, but the one thing she was always good at was being fast. As he cursed the wind, she was off into the nearby trees.
