Chapter 24: Morgan is back

Sam's POV

My cell rang and I was at home. The boys were taking a nap and I answered the phone. 

"Hello?" I said.

"Sam? It's Charlie! I need you and Wiz over here now!" said Charlie.

"Whoa! Whoa! What's this about?" I asked

"I can't tell you over the phone. Can you please come over?" said Charlie.

"Sure. I just got to find a sitter for the boys. Diane still at work." I said.

"Alright. See ya when you get here." said Charlie.

"See ya." I said.

 "Damn, what was that all about?" I wondered. I called my friend, Zoe to come over to watch the boys for a few hours. She agreed to come. I put on my shoes and grabbed my keys. I waited for her to come over and she arrived on time. She knocked on my door and I let her in. I told her the boys are asleep. I left and called Wiz. I told him what Charlie told me and he said that he would be at Charlie's house within fifteen minutes. So I arrived to Charlie's house first. I knocked on the door and Charlie let me in. Five minutes later, Wiz showed up with his laptop and his bag. Charlie let him and we sat down on the couch.

"So we're here. What's going on?" I asked.

"Ok. I woke up from my nap and it was about to rain. Then I remembered I left my bag in the car. So I go outside to get my bag out of the car and I noticed a note on the window. I took the note inside and opened it up and I couldn't believe what I just read. Here's the note." said Charlie.

"Oh my god! It says, "I'm coming for you and my child." It's Morgan. She's back." I said.

"Charlie? Did you see Morgan come over here? Did you see what car she was driving?" asked Wiz.

"No and No." said Charlie.

"We got to find out where's she staying at and how do we keep your daughter away from her?" I said.

"Right now, there's nothing I can do but I have to ask. Where is your daughter right now?" said Wiz.

"In daycare. My sister-in-law usually picks her up. My wife called her this morning and told her that I was picking her up later." said Charlie.

"Were you serious when you said there's nothing you can do?" I said.

"Yeah. For now. In the meantime, call me if anything else happens." said Wiz.

"Yeah. Thanks a lot, Wiz." said Charlie.

"Now what?" I said.

"It's time for me to go pick up C.C. from daycare." said Charlie.

"I'll stay here and watch Brendan until you get back." I said.

"Thanks. C.J.'s bus should be here in ten minutes. Later." said Charlie.

Charlie's POV

I went to pick up C.C. up from daycare. I was so pissed that Wiz said that there was nothing he could do about what happened today. I took a shortcut to pick up my daughter. C.C is my world and she's the only good thing that came from Morgan. I finally arrived at the daycare and I pulled up at the pick-up area. I got out of my car and went inside. I signed my daughter out for the day. I looked around for C.C. and there she was. I called out her name and she looked straight at me. 

"Daddy! Daddy!" she yelled.

"Yeah, Daddy's here. You ready to go." I asked. 

"Yes, Daddy." she said.
