Chapter 1: Getting to know Katie

-Katie's POV-

Hello, my name is Katie, I'm 18, and I just started school a couple days ago, I am now a senior. I love One Direction, 5SOS, Justin Bieber, basically any pop or country songs, depending on what it is.

Well, anyways, I am currently in my bedroom just laying in my bed, using my phone. While I  scroll through Instagram something catches my eye. 

Louis has posted, a picture of him and Harry. The caption states, "Harry and I want to adopt, we want a daughter. You can be whatever age but not past 20. We are gonna put out a contest, you must DM me and/or Harry, and tell us why we should adopt you, and we will open up most of them. When we find one we think is to our interest, we will contact you back, but you must add your phone number so we could contact you, and let you know that you won the contest. We will then talk to you, and we will come to your house to talk to your parents, and see if it'll be okay to adopt you. Alright if you want to win, DM me and/or Harry! Hurry!" 

Reading this, had me shocked. I opened up the DM's on Instagram and sent them both a reason why they should adopt me, some information about me, and then left them my phone number. Now I'm just hoping to god that I get picked, and that I win.  I do the same to Harry, to have a better chance at winning. 

I put my ringer on, and change into bed time clothes. It is now 10:00 pm, after I put on my clothes I head off to bed and lay down. I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.

At midnight, I hear my phone go off. I wake up, roll over, and grab my phone. I see that I got a couple texts from an unknown number saying 'Hey, is this Katie?' and 'Hello?' I reply with "Yes this is her. I don't mean to sound rude, but who is this?" 

The person then replies with, "It's Louis, you won the contest from my Instagram!!!' I stare at my phone for a couple of minutes shocked. HOW DID I WIN?!! I then hear my phone ring from the same number, and I quickly answer the phone call. "Hello?" Harry says. "Hi." I reply back with. "You won the contest, we will need your address." I tell them my address, and also texted them my address. We then hang up and they told me they would be here sometime throughout the week.

I then plug my phone back in, roll back over and fall back asleep

It's finally morning time, Louis said he'd text me when he is gonna come to meet my parents and talk to them. Oh, boy, my parents are gonna be so mad about this, but hopefully they understand why I did this. Well I have a sister, they seem to love her more than they love me, but that may not be true. 

I got up, changed into regular everyday clothing. I walked out into the living room and went and sat on the couch. "Hey Mom, hey Dad." I call out to my parents who are also on the couch just using their phones. 

"Hey sweetie. How was your sleep?" They ask me. "Fantastic, thank you for asking." I reply with. We then stay quiet, and I pull out my phone, scrolling through Instagram. I then see I got a notification that someone tagged me in a photo. I opened up to my tagged place on Instagram and saw that Louis tagged me into a photo. I opened it up and the caption read "Congratulations to Katie for winning the contest for us adopting her! We are so excited to meet you, and to talk to your parents about adopting you, hopefully they let us, because we really like you, and really want to adopt you. We will let you all know if we can or can't adopt her or not! But hopefully we can we really like her, and want her to be our daughter!" After I read that I smile brightly to myself and like the picture. I go to the comments and see many comments from many people.

@louisismydrug: AWWWWW CUTEEEEE SHES SO LUCKYYY!

There were so many comments that I saw, but some were hateful, but I just ignored those kinds of comments. Just then my sister came out of her room, and runs to my parents and hugged them.

She is also a Directioner, and she looks at me, opens up her mouth, but I give her a glare, warning her to be quiet about this whole adoption thing.

I know this is a short chapter, but I want to get something out there for you guys!

I know this sucks, and my writing sucks but it'll get better I promise!
