Hiccup POV:

I wake up to another great head throbbing pain but it's located at the front of my head this time. I can see the sun shining through my eyelids making red the only thing I can see. I don't bother to open my eyes but I don't try and focus on the pain either. Simply, I lay in peace. My bed isn't as comfortable as it usually is. Wait. This doesn't smell like my room. I open my eyes and find myself in a small room. The walls, floors, and roof is made of wood, with wooden benches, chairs, and even the bed is made of wood. I sleep on old looking sheets, quilts, and pillows. Where am I? A civilian's house? A kidnapper's house?

I sit up and jump off the bed as quickly as possible. My eyes scan for a door in the bright sun that shines brightly through the room. A set of strange looking clothes sit perfectly on the bed I was just in. They must be for me. But I there is no way I am staying so there is no need to wear them. Finally, I spot a wooden door hidden between a small bench and a wooden wardrobe. Opening the door, I prepare myself for the worst, unsure what I will find on the other side.

Strangely, I see a large dining table made of wood with six chairs, and a kitchen. The roofs are quite low compared to my palace but I don't mind. Many of the stores I attend are like this. I was probably found and taken to a village medic. I try to rethink what I must havE don't to cause my black out, but there is nothing. My curious self searches for anyone in the room but again, there is no one to be seen.

I slowly walk through the room, hoping I don't run into anything unpleasant. My head moves in every direction on the look out for a surprise attack or at least an innocent soul.

Finally, I reach, to what it looks like, the front door. A small window is next to it and I can see a not so clear vision of outside. I turn the door knob and slowly open it, creating a creaking noise, it sounds awful but I attempt to ignore it.

When I completely open the door, I get a good look at my surroundings. There aren't many, but people walk down a large road in front of me. Some give glances but I ignore it, I'm used to all the strange looks. Some people carry food, others escort sheep, many stroll with nothing but themselves. But each and every one of them wear at least one piece of armour, is this a regular war zone? Some wear strange helmets with horns and others wear chest pieces, shoes, leggings, armlets, and more different armour prices that I am unfamiliar with.

The door slams behind me as a breeze turns into a quick gush of wind. I suddenly hear a loud growl and it sounds awfully close. Children stare in awe above my head and adults walk along like nothing has happened. I start to freak out, there's something on the roof and it sound ferocious. I hear a snort, and then another growl but I can't get the courage to look above.

I freeze. It's my first instinct to do so. Then, I start feeling hot and my hands gradually grow sweaty as I ball them into fists.

Another quick gust of wind occurs and I hear flapping noises, almost like a large, thick cloth waving in the wind. The noise comes closer to me and the wind picks up. Everyone clears a spot on the road in front of me and cheers.

Everything I have ever known disappears and I blankly watch as a black beast lowers to the ground and sets foot on the road. A boy about my age, if not, older with brown thick hair as dark as mine dismounts the creature. After him, is a girl with blond hair that jumps off the monster with ease. This has to be a dream. I know these are dragons, I am not stupid, but dragons are not real, they are a fairytale.

The two wave at the small crowd and together, they stride closer to me as if nothing amazing had happened. I feel as though I should start freaking out but I'm not afraid of them, it's the beast they were riding. It's not real.

"Come on Toothless." The boy calls and the monster starts following him. Toothless? Is that a name? A statement? A type of animal? I think about what I should say. Are they the rulers of this land? Should I greet them with respect? Stop asking questions, I tell myself.

"W-what is that?" Wow, Amelia, is that all you could say? I ask the boy and the girl who are a metre away from me.

They both give each other an odd looking glimpse and laugh loudly, "What do you mean, what is that?" The boy's voice reminds me of Gobbers, the accent is so different compared to mine. Expect the boys wasn't as strong unlike my mother's hers was different too, "oooh," the boy nods and slowly walks towards me by himself, "that's right, you're the one Gobber brought back, he said you were floating in the sea-"

"For a matter of fact I am Princess Amelia of Sheffield and I was n-"

I was suddenly pushed aback and a familiar figure stood in front, Gobber, "that would be her."

"I don't know why you would be wanting to be in the ocean." the blonde girl says to herself as a chuckle escapes her mouth.

"I wasn-"

"Maybe you should have some rest, it's been a long day." Gobber kicks in once again.

"Bu-"

Gobber guilds me back into the small house with a hand behind my back but not pressed against it. When we arrive to the door of my bedroom he turns and whispers, "I'm sorry, I'll get you home as soon as I can, it was all I could do, just pretend I found you lost at sea or somethin?"

He wants me to lie. To save his reputation, "fine," is all I get out, "now if you'll excuse me," I end and walk back into the room.
