Wednesday After School
"Are you serious?" I groaned when I saw Francis enter the living room with Kyle in front of him. Kyle smiled slightly, probably still recovering from what Francis had told him. While Francis just smiled sadly towards me, carrying a black duffle bag, and there was guilt in his eyes.
Serves him right, that butthole.
"Yes, seriously. He's staying for a few weeks because his parents are visiting family friends." Kyle spoke as he laid a hand on Francis' shoulder.
"Then why isn't he going?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I don't like the family their visiting." Francis spoke with a bit of hesitation. He quickly looked away once we made eye contact.
"So anyways, you have no say in this. I already talked to mom about it and she was okay with it." Kyle said with a smile then turned to his friend, "You can just set your things in the room you usually crash at whenever you sleepover." Francis nodded and began to make his way upstairs to the guest bedroom. Once he was out of hearing point Kyle came over to me, "Just don't mind him, if he does anything to you just let me know." Kyle smiled softly.
"Jesus Kyle, your so soft around me. I'm still Jasmine." I rolled my eyes at his behavior. It's been like this since the situation happened.
Kyle opened his mouth to reply but was cut off by our youngest brother.
"Today was the greatest day of my life so far!" He shouted as he jumped in between Kyle and I.
"What happened?" Kyle asked with a bright smile.
"Remember that girl Olivia I told you about?" The girl he supposedly is in love with. "She let me borrow her red crayon! I think she loves me back!"
Me and Kyle glanced worriedly at each other, "Uh, buddy. Do you know what love is?" Kyle asked.
David nodded, "Love is when you share things with someone forever and say nice things to each other."
"Davey, that's not right." I said softly trying not to hurt the kids feelings.
David looked confused. "Then what is it?"
I was about to speak when a voice beat me to it, "Love is when you care for someone deeply. More than a friend, more than family. It's like sharing your soul with that one person. Now some people can fall in love with more than one person but their never going to love those ones like they do their soul mate. Love is like when you stare at the persons eyes long enough you can fall into the depths of their eye color. Or like when you touch and feel those sparks inside of you. Love is something that shouldn't be taken lightly and when you mess it up it takes a long time to recover. Just like trust. Which is part of love. Trust, honesty, loyalty, respect, forgiveness, and many more are what makes love, love. And even sometimes love can blind you, it can make you believe such things that aren't true, but you don't want to face it." He explains then chuckled, "If I were you, give it a few more years before you say you love this girl." Francis smiled at David.
What. The. Frick.
"Wow." David said looking confused and content. "You should teach my class about this kind of stuff. Real things like live and family. Not math, and history." We chuckled from his comment.
