Scrambling around the dark, decaying corridors of "Faithful Days," Elizabeth desperately searched for anywhere to hide. Just seconds later, however, his chilling, mindless screeching returned, thundering throughout the ever-growing darkness. Eyes stung by floods of tears, Elizabeth started running through the halls, when the bandages that tangled around her leg had grown tighter. In the midst of the pain, she took out her pocket knife, and started desperately stabbing the wrappings. That's when her voice cried out, as she rose the now blood-soaked blade, which shined crimson against the blackness surrounding Elizabeth.

"Please... stay back..." Elizabeth groaned, as she tried standing, but slumped back onto the frigid ground.

"No... you will come here... come to me... little girl..." A female voice called, as the air dropped by ten degrees. It was coming for her.

As her body infused with her adrenaline, which now grew by the second, Elizabeth groped around the peeling walls, and found a medical cabinet, which she estimated stood only four meters from the wall.

"Child... Lost little child... Come back... Come to me...!" The female voice shrieked, as Elizabeth contorted her body into the small space behind the cabinet. She closed her eyes very tightly, sobbing with every breath she took, when she noticed that the room seemed to get brighter.

Glancing at the doorway, now illuminated by the strange light, Elizabeth's heart and hope sunk deeper, as the Bandaged-Up limped into the room. She noticed that it's mouth was bleeding, due to the wound she had inflicted on the creature when she first encountered it. When Elizabeth's eyes looked at the ground where the creature was patrolling, she had lost it all. Her wounded leg had left a trail of crimson, and that trail led right to her.

Chilling laughter filled the room, and it came from the Bandaged-Up. The light, which had previously been white, had turned crimson, the same as her blood, when the mummified hands had grabbed the cabinet, and ripped it in two within seconds.

"Child... do you really think you can escape?" It questioned, as it backed away, putting it arms behind its back with a defining crack. Elizabeth didn't answer, but she didn't expect the creature to care. It laughed crazily, turning to her again, as its newly revealed mouth had several sharp, metal teeth now blackened by its blood.

"I will finally be free from this Hell-Hole!" The Bandaged-Up shrieked, as the sound of a gunshot blasted across the walls, and the shock had caused Elizabeth to black out.

Welcome to the Hearthrone Residence!

Harlan stared at the old, rusty sign with disgust. Half the lights that were to illuminate it had broken away, or had sparked and blew their fuses. The rest had barely flickered twice through the darkness of the night. Starting the car once again, he started to slowly drive up the barren land to the rotting mansion which stood on Givil Hill. None of the surrounding land had seemed recognizable to him, however it was seven years ago since he last drove down the rode to meet up with the family.

Thinking back to the Hearthrone Family, Harlan strained himself to remember each of the members. He was very close to them all, but once the incident occurred, He lost contact with them all, especially Elizabeth, the youngest member in the Hearthrone Family tree. He had cared about her as if she was his sister, and had done so since he first met her, when she was only three month of age. Elizabeth had two wonderful, unforgettable parents, as well.

There was Theodore, her father, with his strong, friendly, and protective personality, and love of nature. He always was a soft guy, but his looks would make him seem like the perfect Military soldier, strong and threatening. Elizabeth's Mother, Jane Hearthrone, was very similar to her husband, strong and caring, but she also held a love of reading and writing. She was very sweet to Harlan, sometimes calling him her "son" by accident. Elizabeth, however, had turned away from her parents, and once the incident had happened, she disappeared, and Harlan felt a surge of betrayal.
