AMY POV
I was at a loss as to what to say. I had no idea why I even came over here. I just found myself knocking on Kyria's front door and now I was facing a very sweaty Kyria. Damn why did she have to look so good right now?
Realizing what I was thinking I shook my head trying to clear it. Now that I was here I had to think of something to say quick so I did not look like an idiot.
Kyria who had just stared blankly at me when she opened her front door was now smiling that cocky half smile she done so well and was leaning against the doorframe with her inked arms folded over her chest.
"What do I owe the pleasure of little Foster stopping by this afternoon?"
Did she have to be so smug?! Fighting the urge to roll my eyes I just cleared my throat.
"I was wondering if you have the notes from Mr. Jasper's class. I sat in the back of the class today and I couldn't see the board. "
Kyria's dark eyebrow arched making her look even more dangerously beautiful. Tilting her neck she looked like she didn't believe me.
"Seriously? You didn't get the notes for English class?"
"That's what I said isn't it?"
For a few long seconds she just stared at me, but then she smiled making her steel blue eyes twinkle. A part of me was happy to see that she was acting somewhat like her old self again.
"Alright Foster, you win," Kyria quickly side stepped so Amy could step inside, "follow me. They are in my bag in my room."
I was nervous about going to her room again, especially after what happened last time, but I hid it. I followed closely behind her as she led me up to her room.
Her room was in order all but for a few shirts on her floor. Obviously not giving a shit Kyria stepped over them and walked to her bed where her backpack was laying.
Not knowing what to do I just stood in her doorway with my hands tightly clenched behind my back.
Kyria must have noticed this because she grinned and glanced sideways at me.
"Well are you just gonna stand there and look like Drongo or are you going to come in and sit?"
Rolling my eyes I slowly stepped all the way through the doorway and now I was completely in her room. I was in Kyria Austin's room; a place where I thought I would never see again.
The room was deadly silent and the only sounds that was breaking the ear splitting awkwardness was from Kyria as she turned pages through her notebook.
I watched her as she sat on her bed with one of her slim long legs tucked under the other one. Her head was bent and that caused a piece of her dark gelled hair to fall in her eyes. The tip of her tongue was peeking out from between her full pink lips making her look like she was concentrating hard on the task at hand. It was so easy to get lost in her. Kyria could put you under a spell just by one single look.
"I am sorry I ran that day. I just freaked out."
The words were out of my mouth before I even knew I was going to say them. Eyes wide I slapped both of my hands over my mouth. I was so embarrassed.
Kyria slowly looked up from her notebook to look at me. She had an unreadable expression on her face. I didn't know if she was mad or not. She gave nothing away. She hid her emotions well.
For a long moment she just sat ridged staring at me before she shrugged one of her shoulders as though she was brushing off the whole thing like it didn't matter. It may not have meant anything to her, but it meant something to me. I just hadn't figured out what yet.
