And as you close your eyes tonight, I pray that you will see the light, that's shining from the stars above.

I hummed the lyrics to More Than This as I completed my tenth lap around the track. I had decided to come to the track today to relieve some stress. I was to try out as a dancer for One Direction's latest tour. The try-outs were tomorrow and the judges were Simon Cowell and all five of the One Direction boys. It was safe to say I was nervous as hell! So here I be.

I was originally from Canada and grew up dancing hip-hop and street dance, and playing soccer for Canada's under twenty women's team. Then last year when I was seventeen my father had died in a car crash. My mother was heart-broken and the memories in Canada were to hard for her to bear. So we packed up and moved to London, England as a means of getting away and escaping the past. My Mother and I had an odd relationship since she was still mouring the loss of my father. Our relationship was a nearly silent one and I pretty well ended up taking care of both of us. But as soon as I turned eighteen and finished high school, I moved out of the house we had been living in and moved into my own apartment. I still spoke to my Mum and visited her but I may as well have been talking to a doll. So I eventually gave up and that was when I felt truly alone. So I got a job at a local dancing studio as an instructor, where I met my best and pretty much only friend: Krysta. She was also a dance instructor but she taught ball room and jazz, while I taught hip-hop and street.

Krysta was a short blonde with an attitude. She wasn't afraid to tell you what she thought of you and in my case she thought I was the cheeekiest girl on the planet! I had to agree with her on that one I am a major flirt. Krysta used to say that I could out flirt Harry Styles and I'm still not sure about that one... but I was definetly going to try if I got the chance, just to prove her right... and maybe because I had a teeny tiny crush on Harry Styles... okay a BIG ONE!

Then I heard about a try-out for dancers for the band One Direction, and so I started to train harder and dance more and I got into my peak physical condition for the try-outs, hoping that I would get the chance of a lifetime to dance with One Direction and get to know them better.

That was two months ago and now here I am a day away from my try-out and I was a bundle of nerves. Which wasn't really surprising considering tomorrow had the potential to make or break my career as a dancer.

I sat down on a bench surrounding the track and let out a breath I didn't know I had been holding. I grabbed my water bottle, took a drink and put my face in my hands. My black, elbow length hair, covering my face. I sighed and sat there for a moment pondering what my life would be like if I had actually succeeded and was a dancer for One Direction. As I thought more and more about it I realised that this was my one big moment. The highlight of my life so far.

With that last thought in my head I got up and walked home preparing for a big day tomorrow.

Beep beep beep. My alarm went off at twenty to eight and I shut it off quickly as I hopped out of bed and into the shower. After my shower I dried and straightened my hair and left it down. I dressed in black sweatpants and a turquoise crop top that showed my tanned and toned stomach complete with a belly ring. I grabbed my dance bag, wallet, phone, and keys and I was out the door.

I hopped into my little red Ford Fusion and drove the ten minutes to the venue for the tryouts. I walked into the building at nine o clock and had barely sat down before a woman came out and called my name.

"Janelle Monavi?" Asked the woman, a slight brunette that seemed to be in her early to mid thirties.

I stood up and extended my hand to her which she promptly shook.
