Demi's POV
What is taking them so long?
The bell rang, Blake and Bethany went to check who it was but they didn't come back yet until....
I saw them and two other adults that I think are Blake's parents. What really surprised me is that Gracie didn't even bother going to them. She stayed in my arms.
The man turned to Blake and said,"Did you have a sleepover here?" It sounded more like he was challenging Blake to say yes. He just nodded.
The man just went upstairs without a word. The woman just sighed and sent and apologitic smile.
"Hi girls. I am Maddison. That was my husband Caleb. Sorry if he was a little harsh." She looked at me and smiled. I then returned the smile.
"Um.... Blake are you having......?" She said as she held up one hand as a hole and put her index finger in it. My eyes widened. What the hell!?
"MOM NO! THEY ARE JUST FRIENDS!" Blake screamed while Maddison sighed in relief. Awkward moment right here.
"Oh ok. Thank god." She said. I walked to her and smiled then stuck out my hand.
"My name is Demilia but my friends call me Dev- Demi." I decided to not say Devil because she has enough shock for one day. She shook my hand.
"So how did you meet the boys?" She asked genuinely interested. I looked at Blake and he nodded. I sighed.
"Me and Blake need to tell you something. Can we go somewhere private?" Her eyes widened then gor back to normal and nodded.
We went to Gracie's room since she already knew about it.
"Are you pregnant?" She blurted out. Me and Blake looked at each other and we quickly shook out heads. Oh my god. Can today get anymore awkward?
"Oh. Then everything is fine."
We then told her about how we met and about Remi, Gavin, how he almost got shoot (which she kinda freaked out) and that Blake wanted to go to Meridian. Her eyes widened when I showed her my powers. So much about no shocks.
When we finished our story she was just their blinking at us. I know.
"So my son wants to go to a magical kingdom to defeat an evil king because you are the real princess?" She asked as if asking a child. Maybe it was a bad idea telling her now. Maybe we should have told her when we got to know each other better. We nodded.
"What the fu-" she was interupted by Blake.
"Mom! Gracie is in here!" He said pointing at Gracie.
"Sorry, this is a lot to take in."
I then finally spoke up,"It's fine. We understand. In the mean time, please try to knock some sense into your son about going." Before anyone can answer I left the room and went to the living room. Everyone bombarded me with questions.
Alex said, "Guys, I think we should give her some space to think for a while." I sent him a grateful smile and he returned it.
I felt tense and pressured. How can I be so stupid? I didn't even try to knock some sense to the boys about going to Meridian. I never thought of how dangerous this can be for them.
What if they die? What will happen to their family? What will happen to me? The guilt will eat me up and will haunt me for the rest of my life. I won't be able to live. I will never be able to forgive myself. Ever.
They are my friends, although for a very short time, but I trust them. Maybe more than I should.
I can't let them die.
I will do everything and anything to keep them away from danger.
Even it it means to keep them away from me.
*Sigh*
