Scaling my room I freeze a bit. I 'm an adult now, ready for a new challenge. Upstate, New York was fun while it lasted. Going through high school making friends was fun from what I can remember. Walking around my dresser filled with nothing the top has one thing on it, a picture frame of me and my best friend. Really wishing I could bring my best friend since who knows how long, Clover. Clover is the one person in my life that was okay with my decision to move to Los Angeles. I'll miss her but we both promised that we would visit each other before we start college. Moving to my window I remember when David wanted to cheer me up by standing outside my window with beats speaker throwing pebbles at my window almost hitting me in the face.God damn you future baseball player, good luck I believe in you champ.
"Kai someone's here to visit you," Mother said calling me from downstairs
I say goodbye to my childhood room one last time before I go on my journey. I look at my room seeing my life pass from being my parent's little girl to their stubborn teenage child becoming what I am today as their wonderful grown up daughter. Sighing I closed the door behind me. Once I see who's at the foot of my staircase I start to run down the stairs almost falling. Clover and David are at my front door, the people closest to me other than my parents. I leap onto the both of them hugging them.
"What are you two doing here?" I asked
"Well we wanted to see our bestie before she leaves to the land of celebs," David said laughing
"Yeah that and were driving with you too the airport," Clover said patting my head
" Awe guys that's really sweet," I said
I walk over to my parents taking both of their hands, looking deeply at both of them.
"Thank you for everything you've done for me you don't know how much I appreciate it," I said
My mom started to have tears down her face, " I'm so proud of you Kai,"
"I'm proud of you too Kai, your achievements that you've made will pay off soon, don't forget that," Father said
They both gave me a hug and a kiss. I grabbed my things and the three of us left. The car ride was memories of our childhood days and talking about the rest of our summer. I couldn't answer the summer part since I really didn't know what I'll do once I get settled in Los Angeles. Once we got to the airport I checked in and Clover and David got passes to come with me. TSA was the longest I've ever had to stand in a line. After that, we found my gate and got there just in time. I looked at both of them and I was almost drawn to tears.
"I'm going to miss you two so much," I said tears forming in my eyes
"Yeah we know, we'll miss you more than you'll miss us Kai," David said
"Haha let's not make this a challenge," Clover said moving closer to me
"Be safe please, don't go partying too hard without me,"
"No promises about the partying but I'll be safe don't worry and I'll keep an eye on David and his antics,"
"Haha, thank you,"
"Flight to Los Angeles is ready for boarding,"
"That's my cue," I said hugging them one more time
"Call us when you get there," Clover said
"You know I will so be up its different time zones," I said
"We will," David said
I said goodbye and got on the plane, I found my seat.
"Yes I have the window," I said to myself
