The lovely triangle

As the moon lit sky with a pleasant breeze goes on Nikolai and his best friend Mathew take a stroll through the quiet and lonely park they hum themself a peaceful tune. Today was the day that he needed to make his choice, who does he love the most.  "I'm definitely not going back to Stacy even if she says she sorry."
"Yeah hell no she fucked another guy Nick." Mathew paused  "Well you've  got two hard choices right now." Nikolai sighed. "Yeah I know either lucia or Maria." He takes a seat with Mathew onto the forest green grass and continues, " Lucia was there for me after Stacy did this whole shit but Maria is the closest person to me." Closing his eyes and laying down, Mathew replies. "Just go for both." Nikolai surprised, "What!? I can't just cheat on the both of them." Mathew chuckles. "No no I mean just date the both of them a polyamorous relationship." Nikolai lays back down then states. "Ya know something like that would be amazing, but too bad they don't like each other." "Even if they don't you could still make it happen." Nikolai gets up. "Yeah but they'll try to compete for me." Mathew chuckles a bit. "Then keep it just like that and love them equally don't let either one feel left out." Both Mathew and Nikolai stand and go back onto the concrete path continuing their late night walk. The path illuminated by the street lamps as they walk a breeze passes by. Nikolai finally replies. "Won't hurt to give it a shot right? I mean they both love me so they can't say no." Mathew replies. "Yeah, uh off topic, wanna go grab a bite?" "I'm trying to save money so I'll cook, what generally thing you wanna eat?" Nikolai continues. "Actually scratch that I'll surprise you stay at my place tonight, I'll loan you some clothes" Mathew replies alright fine but I want meat at least." Nikolai and Mathew leave the park and reach Nikolai's house. A nice baby blue exterior private house with a white and baby blue interior designed with hexed walls the whole house with blue carpet. The first floor consisting of the kitchen, an extra guest room, a shower-less bathroom, and a medium sized living room designed with nice blue suede couches and a 65in flat screen tv to fit the wall surrounded with speakers with cable and a PlayStation 4 to match. The second floor has three rooms and a hatch leading to the attic. The silk white bathroom with a dark blue stand up shower with pull out seats. Lastly the basement which is meant purely for gamers. Consisting of a 75in plasma tv with the Xbox one, PS4, PS3, and Wii U all connected with the white wooden outline holding tons of games for each. Nikolai and Mathew change into more comfortable clothes and Nikolai starts cooking. Grabbing his oak wood cutting board he takes out his sharpest knives and lays them to the side. Putting aside a big pot to start boiling water. Nikolai perfectly cuts onions into crescent moons and a variety of sweet peppers. Then he thinly sliced scallions and put the ingredients into the pot while it was slightly beginning to boil. Afterwards dicing carrots and potatoes, he throws them into the pot. Lastly he adds chicken broth and let's it sauté on low to allow the broth to get soaked into the vegetables. After cleaning out the cutting board he begins to cut thin slices of pork and thick dices of chicken breast. After most of the water evaporates he adds the chicken diced meat into the mix along with noodles for the soup. Lastly he cuts cilantro, garlic, oregano and He finishes seasoning by adding Salt, pepper and noodles for the soup. While letting the noodles cook he cuts a few thin slices of pork and just cooks with salt and pepper and then he serves the two two bowls of soup with pork slices floating on top. As Nikolai puts the bowl down in front of Mathew. Mathew looks in awe. "Nick? Did you just make naruto soup? Like actually from the anime?" Nikolai laughed. "Shh just eat it, i put a lot of meat anyway." He continues. "Any way I spent a lot of time thinking about what you said with the two of them." Mathew unable to speak as noodles hang from his lips. "Mhm?" Nikolai finishes. "Even so they both won't say yes to it, and they'll try to compete for me like try to get me to like one more." Mathew starts to speak. "Alright so how about you use that towards it, make it the reason you keep them both, it's risky but if you do it just right it's gonna work out perfectly." Nikolai questions. "And the risky part is?" Mathew finishes. "You either keep them both or lose them both. Tell them it's either they share you equally and at least give things a try or you just stay friends nothing more. I want you myself but we're just friends this whole time you're irresistible bro." Nikolai says jokingly. "Yeah yeah nothing gay right now you know only once in a while. Well I think we should leave this for some thinking I wanna play some games." Mathew gets up with his bowl of noodles. "Hell yeah bro I'm down, that basement is like gamer heaven." Nikolai finishes. "Yeah let's record another two best friends play and call it a night." They both gather their things as they head downstairs with the amazing soup prepared by Nikolai. Bringing down drinks and chips expecting a fun night they stay up recording hours of fun and finally going to sleep after having such a long drought out day.
