One day a good girl ended up falling in love with the little ole town's bad boy. for the first time ever in her life she felt free to be who she really was and didn't have to be what everyone else expected of her. She ended up being happier than she ever thought was possible in life. She never thought love could ever feel this good. She felt so secure around him, that she gave him everything she had to give, including her virginity. She said, "I’m going to marry that boy, one day."
Two years past and they were even more in love than they were when they first fell. They had their future all planned out. Go to college together, get married, buy a house, have a family of their own, raise them, and grow old watching their kids grow up and get married and have kids themselves.
That summer, before they were supposed to go to college with each other, they were out at night on a bridge, where they first met. They were looking at the water underneath and at the moon and stars shining so bright reflecting off the water. But what they didn’t see was the drunk driver heading for the bridge. They both saw headlight not thinking anything of them. The boy wrapped his arms around the girl. Said, "No matter what happens in the future, you'll always be my one love. Promise me something." to more or less told the girl. "Shh, you don't even have to ask. You'll always be my one and only love also. No one will ever come between us. Unless its our kids running into our room late at night because there is a thunderstorm." They both chuckled.
"Always remember, I Love You with everything I am. God, made you just for me. You’re perfect." the boy finished.
Suddenly, the headlights flashed before them and the boy saw the car headed towards them. He pushed the girl out of the way. The girl heard the car crash into the side of the bridge, but didn’t know what happened until she looked back and saw the boy between the railing of the bridge and the car. He was dead. It killed him.
She screamed out and ran to him. His blood got all over her arms and clothes from wrapping her arms around him. She didn't care, she was just trying so hard to wake him up. To see the life and love he had for her back in his eyes. She couldn’t stop her tears from running down her face. She looked into the windshield and saw the driver, who was passed out. She got out her phone and called the cops.
After realizing he was gone and never coming back. She told herself that she couldn’t live without him. All of a sudden the tears stopped rolling down her cheeks. She stood up and unsteadily walked herself to the middle of the bridge.She stepped up onto the railing looking at the rapid water flowing below her. She stood there thinking about what life would be like without him. She didn't see how it was possible to ever move forward in life without him there next to her.
Before the girl knew it the cops showed up. One of the police officers just out of the car and slowly walked over to her. "Hey hun. Now why don't you go on and step down off that railing" the officer said to her.
"I've tried, can't bring myself to do it", she replied. "Alright, can you atleast explain to me how and what happened here?" the officer asked.
"It was our anniversary. I think he brought me out here to propose to me. The driver is drunk. I can smell the alcohol on him from here." she said numbly. More tears start to rush down her face as the officer speaks "I'm so sorry. I can't imaging the pain you feel right now." He tried to convince her to come down off the railing. She wasn't able to bare the thought of having to go through life knowing that she lost the love of her life. She still couldn’t bring herself to step down.
She turned back to look at the boy pinched between the railing and the car one more time and said, "I Love You, too... But I can't live without you." She looked back at the rushing water underneath the bridge.
"Wait! Wait! God please wait!" the officer yelled hysterically. From the corner of his eye he saw something glimmer. He quickly looked down and saw it. He bent down and grabbed it and held it up in the moonlight. It was the ring that the boy was gonna give to the girl.
The officer quickly looked up at where the girl was standing but she was no longer there.
The police officer ran to the railing. He couldn't see any sign of the girl.
It’s crazy what love makes you do. It can get you over all of your fears, it makes you smile like an idiot at times, or it can make you take your own life just so you wouldn’t have to live without the one who made your life worth living.
"No matter what happens in the future, always remember, I Love You with everything I am. God, made you just for me. You’re perfect."
