"You need at least a 69 percent in Math to get into Gregerson University, Emily" , Mr. Reid, My councillor tells me. " You're doing very well in your other classes, but your math mark is really pulling your overall GPA down.
" I know Mr. Reid", I say to my councillor. "It's just I've never been good at math. I don't get numbers and I feel like that once I do get something, the class moves ahead to another topic so I'm always one step behind"
"Okay, I know a someone who tutors Math. He was a student here at New Minister High a couple years back, great kid. Give him a chance and see if he's any help. His name is Drew." I didn't know then what that name coming from Mr. Reid's mouth would mean to me now.
