Chapter 12

The charity gig went really quickly that evening. I checked my hair in the mirror before grabbing my bag and popping the essentials in it, makeup, phone, tissues, money. It wasn't long before there was a knock at my door, I opened it to find Lance who complained about having to park around the corner because there was nowhere to stop outside my house. I just laughed as I locked the door and walked to the car with him to greet the others.

"Slight change of plan" he said to me as I got in.

"We're all having a group drink first apparently, so we'll go fetch Kimmy and Mike, then Timmy, drop you all off, then I'll go get Darren, Ellie, Lachie and Sarah, and Mark and Abby are meeting us there"

It took an hour an a half before we were all finally together, it was great to be with everyone for the first time. We all stood taking and laughing for a while before we decided to part ways and do the girls night and boys nights. Just as we were hugging each other bye the DJ started talking

"Now this next song is for all you couples out there, I can see you, get on the dance floor, have some fun" he said as he began to play 'Olly Murs - Right Place Right Time' when Timmy grabbed my hand and ran towards the dance floor. We went absolutely mad dancing to it, people staring at us, but we didn't care. As the song ended he put his hands on the side of my face as he leaned in, my hands on his waist and I did the same, our lips crashed together, the first time we'd kissed in public... It wasn't that bad. We both pulled out and began to walk back over to the others, Timmy gave me one last big hug before him and the guys walked off to enjoy their night.

I don't have a clue what time it was when we all decided to meet up again. Darren was the first who came running down the street, grabbing Ellie and spinning her around in the air, closely followed by Mike who pulled Kimmy in for a kiss. Lance and Lachie came a few minutes later, pulling Mark along with him.

"He's had a few too many, I'll make sure you get him home fine" Lance said to Abby as she took hold of him, before turning to me.

"Where's Timmy?" He asked.

"I dunno, I thought he was with you?"

"Nah, bout an hour ago he said he missed you too much and was coming back" Lance replied, confused. 

"He never did, he'll be around here somewhere [YN], we'll find him" Sarah said to me as she put her arm around me. 

Kimmy, Mike, Darren and Ellie were all going off somewhere together, so once they'd left Lance decided to help Abby get Mark home while Lachs and Sarah tried to help me get hold of Timmy.

"I'll be back for you hun" Lance said hugging me before he'd left. 

We'd all tried ringing Tim's phone several times before I got a text. 'Sorry hun , I got waylaid . I'll meet you in the car park where Lance dropped us off . x' 

I didn't think much of it, he probably just bumped into a friend, or a fan or something. So I chatted to Lachie and Sarah for a bit while waited for Lance to get back. They were staying out together for a while longer so we were joking about that fact that Mark wouldn't be the only one with a terrible hangover. 

"Any luck?" Lance said walking up behind us.

"Yeah he's meeting us where you dropped us off, said he got waylaid" I replied.

"Ahh that's Timmy for you." He laughed before we both said goodbye to the others and began to walk back to the car park.

We both sat on the wall, waiting and chatting when the silhouettes of two figures at the entrance of the car park attracted our attention....
