Prologue

Yoongis first encounter with the supernatural occured at a young age.

He had been walking down the beach with his grandmother, ice cream in hand, when another little boy had ran up next to him and knocked it out of his hand.

Always being independent at heart, he had yelled at the rude boy to buy him a new one. The boy had seemed spooked, and his grandmother had looked at him disapprovingly.

"Yoongi-ah who are you yelling at? It was just the wind, I can buy you a new ice cream when we get back."

At first Yoongi hadn't fully understood his grandmothers words, surely she had seen the real culprit? After all the little boy was standing right next to them.

"Halmoni!! That boy right there made me drop it!! Shouldn't he have to pay??!"

He had pointed right at the unmoving shocked boy, but his grandmother had just sighed.

"Yoongi-ah stop misbehaving. Can't I take you out anywhere??"

Needless to say, he was beyond frustrated. Then it hit him.

She couldn't see the little boy.

"You can see me?"

Yoongi turned around to look at the visbly pale boy, who had by now gotten within an inch of him.

Knowing better by now, he didn't respond back, but instead nodded his head. His grandmother would scold him again if he continued to make a scene.

"Sorry about making you drop your ice cream earlier. I didn't think you'd notice me.."

The boy sounded sincerely apologetic so Yoongi refrained from scowling anymore than he already had. The youth seemed to notice his change in demeanor, because the next thing he knew the boy was shooting him a blinding smile.

"Again, I'm so sorry! Yoongi, right? I'm so darn happy right now! I haven't meet anyone who could see me in so long. Anyways, Hi, my names Hoseok, you can call me anything you'd like."

Yoongi's mouth slowly upturned into a smile, he could always use new friends.
