"I don't know how to describe it."
     "It's unreal!"
"My mommy says my dad belongs in that show."
"It's SO cool, man! It's radical."
These were the reactions to the local freak show at the carnival. A man was interviewing the attendants right outside the giant red tent. Rides, cotton candy, games surrounded the area. Several acres of pure joy to anyone of any age.
One of the main attractions, was the freakshow. The freakshow didn't display animal tricks, or funny dummy clowns, they displayed people. People with disabilities, powers, and any other odd feature a human can have. The main questions people kept asking though, no matter how many times they were told, "Are these freaks even human?!"
The man, who was in fact the Ring Master, was trying to get a girl's opinion on his show.
"So what do you think pretty lady?" He held his microphone to her face, a bit too close for comfort.
"I think it's lame." She looked at him with no expression, using a single finger to push the microphone away.
The man, shocked, just kept smiling awkwardly. "And why do you say that? Miss?"
"Emily. Emily Stuart. I think your show's stupid. No talent, only appearances. Men with weird teeth and women with beards. It's nothing exciting." Emily was around ten, a snarky ten year old.
The ring master laughed. "Well I'm sorry to hear that Emily. But I assure you, today's show will be the greatest show we've ever had! New acts, new abilities."
Emily just looked at him, her eyes narrowing suspiciously. "Let me watch it for 3 dollars instead of 5."
"Deal!" He boomed, shaking her hand as she ran off."
Women, children, fathers, and daughters all swarmed around him as they made for the tent. It was evening, the sun just starting to set. 5 dollars per person, babies were free. Everyone paid their way in and went to take their seat in the bleachers around the round wooden stage in the middle.
The ringmaster walked in through the back to get ready. He was an older man, dark skin and dark black hair. There was a scar over his cheekbones. He wore his mostly red, colorful robe over his bed, and a very large top hat of the same colors.
The lights dimmed, and then were focussed onto the stage in the middle. The ringmaster came out onto the stage from the back with a microphone. "Come one! Come all! To Diego's tent of freaks and kinks! Here you shall see the weirdest of the unusual, the insane of the crazy! Tonight we have a new act! Watch through the show, and you may see her knock your socks off!"
The show started like any of their other shows. The Bearded Lady. Werewolf Man. Two Headed Child. Three-Legged Girl. Dog On Two Legs. Anything weird or freaky, it was there. Their last act was different though. Once the stage was cleared, some men brought out a large metal pipe. Once they left, a girl came out. She was only ten, like Emily.
She was skinny, pale, and had long straight blonde hair. She had light blue eyes that matched her T-shirt. She wore shorts and sneakers. There seemed to be nothing wrong with her. She seemed... Normal.
Diego the Ringmaster came out once more and talked into his microphone. "This is what you've ALL been waiting for! Never seen before by human eyes, is The Titanium Girl!" He exclaimed, throwing his arm into the air. He then muttered to the girl, "Make them happy girl, I'll give you fifty bucks."
She nodded and he left the stage. The metal pipe was about three times her size and at least five times her weight. But when she walked over to it, she picked it up with ease. The crowd awed and wowed. Emily was immediately interested.
Choosing a place on the pipe, the girl bent the pipe. She kept a calm expression on her face. The pipe just bending straight in half. When it was bent, she set it down. Everyone clapped and she immediately ran off stage. She got a standing ovation anyways.
The show ended, and the ringmaster had to get everyone out. The night went on and the girl was paid. The carnival grounded started to empty, giving her the advantage to leave easily without being distracted. Emily had stayed behind though. Watching her. She was quick to follow her home.
When the girl got home though and closed the door behind her, Emily headed her way back home as well.
