Action/ Thriller/ Adventure/ Romance

There really won't be this much strong language at all in chapter 1 onwards.

I was a bit depressed and annoyed that Burkely wasn't on the celebrities list on cast choosingD: but oh well, he's on the side anyway.

----> He plays Ansel/Aaron:)

Animal Masks.

Prologue.

The bastard had a good grip on me, I'll give him that. Flailing, I elbowed the disgusting excuse for a human in his ribs. No response; not even a groan. Damn it.

Digging the heels of my feet into the soft ground to try and prevent him from moving me so easily, he only pushed me harder. For once in my life somebody was stronger than me.

Being gagged by a sock and some duct tape, I couldn't exactly scream and plead for help. Besides, even if I attempted it, I'd take another blow to the torso and man, did my chest already throb.

What did the crazy man want? Had I got into some shit I had no idea about and was now being punished for it? I must have because what else could I have done?

Worse case scenario: I'd been set up.

I'm one of them type of guys who fits in with the crowd and does everything they can to please their friends.

Smoke a hell of a lot, check.

Get drunk every other day, a definite check.

Go out with sluts who my friends seem to think are attractive, unfortunately also another almost shameful check.

Box at a local gym, check.

However, I wasn't a guy who hit and ran, robbed a local grocery store just for the fun of it or even broke and entered.

Sure, I had an attitude. Doesn't every normal sixteen year old?

Being guided through some random forest that seemed to go on for close to forever by some unknown guy with a ski mask on wasn't exactly something I wanted to experience on a everyday basis. Right now, I could do with a cigarette.

"What do you want?" I practically demanded but the words were muffled from the thick cotton of the sock.

"Stay quiet, Ansel. You're safe now." The unknown man growled in my ear with so much hatred. His voice sounded husky and rough. Guessing, I'd predict he was possibly in his late forties.

Safe though? What did he mean?

Ansel? Why was the freak calling me that?

"My name's Aaron." I reassured him, trying to make the words coherent around the thickness of the socks' material. "Aaron. Not Ansel."

Not sure that he'd even understand me, I gave up trying to tell him.

"Not anymore, dear soldier. You are Ansel Halo. Brother of Alvin Halo, am I correct?" So, he'd apparently heard me.

Alvin? What nonsense was this maniac going on about now? The only brother I had was Harry who had been missing for months now. I'd gotten a text or two from him though, telling me he was safe and completely fine but had anybody heard from him except from me? No. And that's why everyone was afraid of the worst consequences. My whole family were pessimistic.

"My apologies, Ansel. I think you'll be more familiar with his old name. Harry Paise? Your brother? We have him too, Ansel."

My entire body froze. The man huffed and pushed along my body weight effortlessly whilst I tried to regain my consciousness.
