It's a normal day in the Mudburn city. Rotten smells of burning tyres combined with the expired food and most other things spread all over the city and the uneasy silence which every bad thing untold, contained within is very common that nothing special seemed to happen all day.
The sound of a screeching vehicle came around the corner of the main street and police sirens were heard far away. But the sound of sirens didn't seem to zoom in any further. The vehicle drifted in the middle of the road forming a circle of smoke. The cheer of few men could be heard from within the vehicle.
Then it moved to a safer spot away from the open streets and entered an alleyway. A few young looking folks jumped out from behind the vehicle in hippy-hoppy moves while two older looking men appeared from the front doors.
"Yeah man, they'd never chase us down these streets. No cop in the world would dare to do that!" One guy shouted while throwing his arms around another.
"Dudes, we're rich now! Let us celebrate! No one ain't gon' disturb our celebration! Woooo!!" Another guy said while shaking a jingly bag of cash in both of his hands. Then came out a better built man with huge muscles and fierce tattoos all over his arms. His face was so ugly that the big smile drawn on his face looked like a faded painting.
"Ha ha ha! I told you I was gonna do it!" the tough looking fellow said with a raspy voice while grabbing one of the bags from the guy who held the two bags of cash. But others weren't pleased."Hey! It wasn't totally your work! Jack and I did most of the thinking!" one of the skinny guys complained. But his voice didn't sound like a threat but only a pleading. The tattooed man turned to the pleader and made him gulp out loud.
"What are you saying, Shawn? You saying you want more of the share? Ain't gonna happen mate. I deserve the better share," the tough man said.
"But no, Bran, that's wrong! We did the better part! We were the ones who held an eye over the bankers and all the other people while you robbed the money. If not for us, the cops would've been there sooner!" The skinny guy, Shawn said while backing up a little by little because Bran, the tough looking guy was closing into him with a tightened fist.
"And the cops didn't come, you say? THEY CAME YOU MORON! Nothing you did was worthy! How dare you demand me!" Bran's iron-like fist was almost at Shawn's face. Just then, one of the robbers called out to the others.
"Hey look, there's a kid right there!" The whole gang of thugs turned around to see a little boy standing in the middle of the alleyway opening. His eyes were barely visible because of a beanie that covered most of his small head."Hey kid, get outta here!" One guy shouted. But the boy didn't seem to care.
"Didn't you hear him brat? Get going. Your mama is waiting for you," Bran laughed but the boy stood in the same posture, not a single muscle moving. The tough guy let go of Shawn and started walking towards the boy while murmuring "Let me teach you a lesson" and slowly sped up.
Then only the boy started to move. He also began to walk towards the big thug. Both of them started running towards each other within seconds. The thug gritted his teeth and smirked. But nobody expected the kid to do the same.At the instance they almost crashed on each other, the boy ran sideways and jumped to the wall and before the thug even turned, shot back with a spinning kick. The thug thumped on the ground as a result of running. The gang of robbers gulped at once. They had total confusion in their faces. But before they did anything, the thug stood back up.
"You son of a..." Before he finished, the boy kicked him right in the middle of his stomach and sent him a few feet backward. He started coughing and then groaned loud in pain.
"What the hell?? You're just a little kid!" The tough looking thug exclaimed.
"Eh... Bran, I think he wants us out of their territory. I don't want to wait for men to show up," a guy near the vehicle said.
"Yeah, I think we'd better leave this place. Even if this is a place for robbers, it's theirs," another guy said.
But Bran hesitated.
