Chapter One

Isla's POV

"Honey!", I heard my Mother call to my Father, I heard his feet scurry down the hallway and then a loud thump. I snorted.

“AHH!” I heard my Mum's high pitched scream.

I looked back to my half completed drawing and turned my head to the side observing it. I put my pencil back on the paper and continued sketching.

“DINNER!” my Mum screeched. I walked out of my room turning the light off and closed the door behind me. I made my way slowly down the stairs and into our kitchen/dining room. I sat at my seat with my dinner plate in front of me, Logan entered loudly and thumped onto the chair opposite me while Mum and Dad made their way to their chairs at each end of the table. We said our thanks to God and forked into our pasta. My Mum is one of the best cooks I know and this is basically just heaven on a plate.

Our dinners were normally quiet while we just think to ourselves and enjoy the heavenly food and then we have supper at 8 and that is when we chat and do whatever.

I helped clean up the table and kitchen then returned to my room. I decided on stopping my current drawing and continue reading the 3rd book in the mortal instruments, City of Glass.

I pulled my black and white striped quilt back and stretched my legs out of bed. I dizzily walked over to my cupboard and pulled out my uniform. I buttoned on my blouse and pulled my green checked skirt on. I unwound my brown hair out of its braid letting it drape over my shoulders. I finished getting ready and made my way downstairs for breakfast. I met my brother at the island bench in our kitchen saying our usual morning greetings.

I ate breakfast, cleaned my teeth and packed my lunch then followed Logan out the door to his car.

He pulled into a spot in front of my school.

“See ya later, Loags”, I waved at him and stepped out of the car. I strolled into the building waving to some friends on the way. I sat on a bench and pulled out my phone waiting for my best friend, Elle to arrive. I looked up from my phone and saw her walking towards me.

Elle has been my best friend since year 8. Her hair is thick, straight and a deep burgundy colour it reaches just below her shoulder blades. Her deep green eyes are shining with excitement and I immediately know that something is up.

She bounces her way over to me and sits down on the seat next to me.

“whats up?” I chirp. She grins,

“well Isla! have I got some news for you. Don't look now but there are 5 new boys walking through the front gates.” she grins. I smile, showing my newly straight teeth. I have just got my braces off a few weeks ago.

“today our mission is to attract these guys attention” Elle said in a mock-strong voice. I mock-saluted her and grinned.

“Hello?” I heard a deep voice over my left shoulder. My eyes widen as I turn my head toward the voice.

“Hi!”my voice was way to cheery.

“we”, he pointed behind him, “were wondering if you could show us where classroom D6 is?” he questioned.

“yes absolutely follow me.” I replied.

He nodded. I smiled at Elle and we stood up leading them the way. Mission Completed!

After we had shown them to their home room we walked to ours 4 rooms down from theirs.

I had a few classes with the boys but we didn't talk again. School ended and I walked out of there and sat under the school office window on a bench. I pulled my phone out checking for messages. I had one from Logan saying he might be a little bit late because he had to pick up his girlfriend, Amy first. I glanced upwards and saw the new 5 boys coming my way. I replied to Logan's message and then pretended to be busy on my phone. A shadow appeared over me and I looked up to see the same boy at the front of the group as this morning. I smiled shyly. “would you like to sit down?” I asked confused on what they were doing here. He sat down next to me with another one sitting next to him, there wasn't enough room now so the others stayed standing sort of surrounding me. I have to say they were gorgeous.

“I'm Herve!” The first guy said loudly.

“this is Corbin, Cruz, Emmet and Makenzie” he said pointing to each guy. Herve had short hair majority of it blond with a few pieces darker. He had light olive coloured skin and was about average size. Corbin has light brown hair and natural dark skin. Cruz was tall but still had lots of muscle as well as the other guys. He had jet black hair styled into a quiff. Emmet was the most lean out of them all, he had dark brown curls. I looked at Makenzie and resisted the urge to gasp. He was stunning. He was tall with light brown curls as hair and had high defined cheek bones where his eyelash shadow swept across.

“Hey! Nice to meet you all! I'm Isla.” I said smiling.

They didn't respond but they just kept smiling at me. I awkwardly stayed seated waiting for someone to say something.

“so, where have you guys come from?” I asked finally.

“all over the place really.” okay typical guy response. It lapsed into silence again.

Just then I spotted Logan's car pulling up into a park and mentally sighed in relief. “well, it was nice meeting you guys. I'll probably see you 'round.” I did a little wave with my head and stood u to leave. Cruz and Emmet parted ways so I could get through. Quietly I said thank you.

“yeh! Nice to meet you too!” I think Corbin? Said.

I waved again and walked away. I adjusted my strap over my shoulder and the thing I knew the ground was coming closer to my face and I pulled my arms out in front of me to try stop the fall. I lifted my head and pushed myself of the ground, brushing the dirt of on the way. How embarrassing! I just met the most beautiful boys ever and I had to flash my butt at their faces. Though they probably didn't mind. “Are you okay?” I heard one of the boys call.

“yep! Fine thank you!” I said turning round and putting my thumbs up with a big fake smile on my face. I turned around and continued on my way to the car. I opened the back door and could hear Logan's and Amy's loud laughing.

Well that is enough embarrassment for the month.
