Chapter 5: The Meetup

POV Natalee

A wave of noise crashes over me as the girls in front of us start screaming. I try to maintain my composure as we walk in and the door shuts behind us. I notice that Sky and Liz aren’t screaming or jumping up and down. They actually seem relaxed, which is very surprising. Then, Sky was biting her nails and Liz is playing with her hair. Nervous ticks. However, I am impressed with their minimal external fangirling.

‘Hey, nice job guys.” I say. “Way to hold in your fangirling.”

“Thanks,” Sky replies “but when I get up there, I just might explode!”

“Same.” Lizzie replies.

“It’ll be fine guys, just try to relax.”

They nod and look ahead at the boys. Now it’s my turn to freak out a little. Do I look confident? Cool? Composed? I look down and realize that I am playing with the ring on my finger. Nervous tick. The line moves and we take a few steps closer to the boys. OK so maybe I’m fangirling a little bit……maybe…..possibly….don’t quote me on that.

********POV Louis********

The camera flashes and my vision is briefly impaired. As the next girl comes up, I survey the rest of the line. Some of the girls are jumping up and down, some are crying, others let out little screams every once in a while. Then I notice a small group in the back that catches my eye. There are three girls. One is tall with dark brown hair. The girl next to her is a tad shorter with lighter, dirty blonde hair. Where is the third girl? There is a third isn’t there?

“Smile.” I hear. I quickly throw up Westside and, again, am momentarily blinded. The line moves forward and the third girl comes into view. She is beautiful. Her hair is curly and a lovely blonde color. I can see her eyes now. They ate grayish-blue, like a storm over the ocean. There is something about her that is familiar. The way her hair flows, her beautiful eyes, her smile. The camera flash goes off again and when I have my vision back, I am pleased to see that they are next in line.
