Chapter 8: In the Cafeteria

"Woah... the cafeteria is so crowded." You said as You, Lillie, Ash and Serena walk into the cafeteria to get the dinner. "We don't have to fight people for the seat right? Because this remind me of the time when I was in Hoenn." You say as you remember the experience where trainer one by one came to fight for your seat as you wait for your food.

"What happen?" Ash ask as he give a look at you stating that he somehow knew what happen in the end. "Well, we have to engage in a battle in order to secure a seat in there. Apparently that seem like the rule in that cafeteria." You explain as you 4 went to find a place.

"Let me guess. You either blew the whole place or flood it due to been annoy by the fact that there is such a ridiculous rules right?" Ash glare at you as you guys found a place to sit down.

"....." You turn to look away as you recall sending out your Swampert and asking it to use surf where magically water came out of nowhere causing a major flood and destruction in Mauville City resulting the whole city have to evacuate and they have to start calling people in for repair.

"You know what [Y/N], I doubt I wanted to know what happen." Ash said as he somehow can predict the horror of those people who was there on that day. Serena and Lillie just smile wryly. "Haiz... Somehow I feel that you are like a walking natural disaster." Ash sigh as he went to collect his food.

"I take that as a compliment." You say as you went to collect your food as well while the girls decided to take care of the seat for the time being. "It was supposes to be an insult you know?" Ash said as you look at him and smile. "Hey Ash, which type of disaster would you like to feel now?" You ask as he look at you with a 'don't start anything please' expression.

Lillie POV*

I watch [Y/N] as he and Ash went to get their food while they were talking. "Hey Lillie." I turn and face Serena as I heard her calling me. "I was just wondering but have something happen between you and [Y/N]?" Serena ask as she look at me with a mischievous smile.

I blush. "W-What could you mean?" I ask nervously. "Hmmm... You just stumble over some words don't you? Well then if you want to play dumb, let me tell you what I observe." Serena said as I gulp my saliva.

"First, ever since we regroup, I could sense a different atmosphere between you and [Y/N]. Next when we are on the way to come here, I have been observing that you have been looking at [Y/N] with affection and spacing out. Next, when he turn around to look at you, you turn and look away while blushing. Fourth w-" I went to cover Serena mouth with my hand and said "Wahhhh....Stop it right there!"

Serena grin as I blush madly and sigh. Given up, I told Serena on how we confess our love to each other and how we ended up almost kissing one another. "Ash came at the wrong time and ended up you two are unable to kiss one another?" Serena ask me as I saw her twitching her eyebrow. I nodded.

"Haiz... Gezz... I wonder what he is thinking seriously. Well anyway, I was just curious... What do you like about [Y/N]? I mean he is more dense then Ash in a worst way I mean and he is also well... a demon basically consider how he battle and ended up either almost killing someone or destroying things or come close to ending this world and such..." I smile wryly at Serena as she told me how [Y/N] almost blew up the whole Mt. Sliver when they went to get his brother, Red, to come down.

I thought in silence as I think about [Y/N]. "Well... Although he may be insane when come to battle and might put everyone in danger, but then I deep down know that he is a nice and caring guy. He is strong, cool, nice, gentle, calm and many more. I cannot pull it in words properly but... that what I love him about." I say as I look down on the table as I try to hide my face from Serena.

Serena look at me and let out a small giggle. "Well then, I guess the conversation have to stop here for now. Look at the boys, they are coming back." Serena said as I turn to see that [Y/N] and Ash was carrying back their food back. I immediately blush as I remember what I just told Serena.

Reader POV*

"We are back. It your turn to go and get your food. Hmm? Lillie, your face is red. Are you okay?" You ask as you look at her with a worried expression. "I-I-I am fine! I will be going to get my food now!" You watch as Lillie shouted as she run off to get her food.

"I wonder what wrong?" You mumble as you look at her with your eyebrow frowning. Serena just smile wryly as she follow Lillie. "Who knows..." Ash said as the both of you sit down while waiting for the girls to come back with their food.

As you guys were waiting for the girls to return, you notice that Professor Kukui and few of his assistance has walk into the cafeteria with a bunch of boxes full of something that look like a badge.

"Hey Ash, look over there." You pointed towards Professor Kukui direction as you call out to Ash. "Hmm? Something is going to start?" Ash ask as you two start to wonder what is going on and fail to notice that the girls has return.

"Down to earth Ash and [Y/N]!" Serena shouted at both of you as you two return to your senses. "Ouch my ear... What is wrong with you? Are you having your period or what? Must you scream into our ear?" You ask Serena which resulted you been punch by her and cause you to fall off your chair.

"[Y/N]! Are you okay?" Lillie ask as she rush to your side. "Ouch... Oi what was that for?" You ask as you glare at Serena. "Be a little more sensitive to a girl feeling before you asking them such question as are they having their period or so." Serena glare back at you as you sigh in annoy.

"Gezz...What a pain." You silently thought to yourself as you get up and tell Lillie that you are okay. As you were sitting down, you heard Professor's voice as he test the sound of the speaker through the microphone.

"Ladies and Gentleman, I have a piece of exciting news to tell you all." Professor begin to speak as you sigh in annoy. "Here goes..." You mumble as you look at Professor Kukui with a bored expression.

You then listen as Professor Kukui start to rant through some stuff like how Alola have a traditional event and etc. which makes no sense to you. As you were about to start to unleash some 'strange paranormal' disaster in the cafeteria due to being bored by his talk, you then seem to take a interest to his next sentence.

"So...that why we are here to give you an island challenge badge. We want all of you to experience the different emotion when you guys taking on this challenge. Hence, hereby I declare that from tomorrow onwards we shall begin the Island challenge. If you guys have any question, you can find me at my office after your dinner." You then watch Professor Kukui end his speech while everyone expect you was clapping their hand.

"I doubt there any different emotion when I battle thou..." You say as you and the rest begin to eat the food. Serena, Ash and Lillie just look at you with a sweatdrop expression. "I pretty sure is not you the one who feel it but we are the one to feel it..." Ash say as he enjoy his curry rice in delight.

You look at Ash in confuse as you don't really know what he is saying. "A-anyway, what is your plan [Y/N]?" Lillie ask as she take a peek at you. "Hmm... as much as the island whatever thing sound interesting, I don't want to miss spending my time doing it without seeing you." You say while smiling at her which resulting her face to gone completely red.

"Wah... You sure have lot of guts eh..." Serena said as she look at you. "....Hey [Y/N].... Erm...I will go and ask professor if I could go with you guys so that you can take on the island challenge at the same time I could also spend time with you." Lillie said as she smile at you. You look at her and while smiling at her, you said "Then I shall accompany you after dinner to find him then."

Okay let stop here for now. Next time, we shall see if professor Kukui will allow Lillie to go with the reader or not. What do you guys think? (I have no idea as I have not think about yet hahahaha!) Till the next time, I will see you all. Peace Out!J
