Chapter XIII

Junashri

The smoke surrounded me. I could hear my friends calling my name repetitively. I tried to respond, but my words evaporated into the cloud. A calm, sweet voice began to speak. I'm pretty sure that I wasn't the only one that heard it.

"Behold, Greek demi-gods. The child chosen by I, Aphrodite, to lead this quest to help my duaghter and the Seven. Deny this you shall not. Behold, Junashri Vyena, duaghter of I."

The smoke magically disappeared. Once my vision went back to normal, eyes were now wide and on me. I was confused at why, and looked down. I saw a silk dress, flowing from my waist down below my ankles. The top was a v-neck, embarrassingly low. It was sleeveless, but had lace sleeves and a lace sash. I had golden jewelry; a dove pendant, large earings, and arm braces. My hair. My hair was up in an elegant fashion that nearly I recognized. My arm had healed, and no longer had a bandage.

The thing that stood out the most, were white lisianthus that were magically suspended in my hair.

All eyes were glued to me and I felt strange, having their glances at my, or a different me's, look. I glanced around the theater and saw a familiar pair of dark grey eyes that stuck out. His expression was speechless. He noticed I was looking and quickly looked away with his scarlet cheeks flushing.

"Well, as the goddess proclaimed, Junashri shall lead this quest for the Greeks. As the ancient practice goes, you may choose two companions. You don't have to chose now. Only until the other two demi-gods have been chosen from the Roman camp, and when the preator alerts me you have to choose, my dear. I do believe business here is done. You are all dismissed, but I need you to stay behind, Junashri."

I was still overcoming shock. When I noticed that I was to go down to Chiron, I carefully walked down to him. I reached the stage and noticed the grimm look on his face. He smiled encouragingly.

"I know this is all surprising and new to you, Junashri. Acceptance to this quest will strengthen the chances of us overthrowing Gaea and her forces. Thank you, my dear."

"N-no problem." I stuttered. He grinned.

"Do not fret, dear. The spell only goes for about a week." A week?! Oh, gosh. I smiled politely, and he clopped out of the theater. I stood, and ran through everything that had happened to me that day. After reading my list, and with my head hurting, I walked out of the theater. My ears were suddenly filled with the sound of footsteps, and Janaysha and Annabel appeared. Shocking, becuase I swore I heard six footsteps.

"So.....Your and Aphrodite girl now! What are you going to do next?" Annabel pulled a news reporter voice. I laughed.

"Well, I have to process all the news I received today for starters." I retorted in the same voice. We all ended up in a fit a laughter.

"But, who are you going to choose?" Janaysha ask in a serious tone. I shrugged.

"I don't know, Jay. I just, I don't know. I'll figure something out."

"Yeah." Annabel yawned."Well, you've got time. I'm headed to bed."

"I'll come too. Pegasus riding is alot harder than it looks. You coming?" Said Janaysha. I shook my head.

"I'll come. I just need some time to think." They hesitated, but left with their goodbyes. I turned to the shadows.

"I know you're there. Randy." I heard a sigh, and out of the darkness he came.

"Sorry."

"No, it's fine. Hey, you never told me what cabin you're from." I questioned. He looked at me.

"Oh, I'm a child of Athena. I know, 'How is a black-headed guy a kid of a blonde or brunette goddess?' I get it a lot by a lot of people."

"Well, those are some stuck up freaks." He looked at me as if he was confused.

"Wait, what?"

"The people who say those kind of things are always self centered. They think only they are the imprint of people on this earth. It's plain obvious that we are all special and unique. Those bimbos can't see that." I looked up at him and he had probably been staring at me. He smiled widely.

"I haven't met anyone as comprehending as you. Thanks. And, c-can I ask you something." I nodded. Whay was he acting like I was a queen. Was is the look? Ugh, I hope I don't get this reaction with everyone.

"You know, what I taught you was basic. I was wondering if I could, umm, t-train, or help train you for anything you could encounter on your quest. I-If you want." I put my hand on his shoulder.

"First off, please don't treat me like some super star. I really never expected this effect. And second, your help will be really appreciated." I give him my signature smile, and he gives me his.

"Thanks. Does tomorrow at dawn sound ok with you?"

"Yeah. Thank you, Randy. For everything."

"Please don't mention it. So I'll see you tomorrow. Bye."

"Bye, Randy." He gives a small wave and walks away. I walk towards the Hermes cabin. I knew that I was an Aphrodite camper now, but I wanted to spend one more day in my bunk. While walking, I thought about what could possibly happen on the quest. My thoughts were interupted as reached another dilemma. I hadn't realized, but none of the flowers had fallen out of my hair. I suddenly reached a question. How was I supposed to get all of this off?
