Ahri woke up with a jolt, and quickly glanced at the clock.
7:45 AM.
Ahri jumped out of bed, rushing to the washroom to clean herself up and change for school. She brushed her long brown/black hair in the mirror and began to brush her teeth. She had woken up late because she spent the whole weekend with one of her close friends, and now idol, no other than Byun Baekhyun.
*sigh*
"Baekhyun... This is all your fault." She muttered as she sped out the door, rushing to her classes.
Ahri attended a prestigious high school. Since Baekhyun was a year older than her, and she was a senior, he was already done with high school. Many students buzzed in the hallways as they gossiped about the latest drama. Ahri rolled her eyes, she never really cared for gossip. She was often described as charming, beautiful, untouchable, smart, amazing, etc. by her classmates. She never really saw much in herself though, she thought of herself as plain, boring, and average.
Ahri's best friend, Yoona, greeted her as she walked into homeroom with a warm smile, however she quickly made a serious face. "..Ahri? Um... Do you happen to personally know Byun Baekhyun?"
Ahri tilted her head, 'How did Yoona know? Should I just tell her? She is my best friend after all...' she thought to herself. "K-Kind of, why?" Ahri asked, suspiciously eyeing her friend.
"Because! All of Baekhyun's fangirls are outraged by this!!" She pulled up an article on her phone, showing Ahri a somewhat blurry and unclear photo of the two holding hands and walking happily. "..Is that you?"
"Y--es.." She paused for a moment.
Her mind raced.. His overly obessesed fans would probably soon find her. What should she do now? "I feel.. sick. I'm going to go home. Sorry about this, Yoona." Ahri told her friend as she got up and began to walk home. She knew she couldn't afford to skip any classes since her senior final exams were quickly approaching; they were tomorrow.
"Well I guess one day won't really do any harm...." She murmured to herself as she continued to walk away from campus.
Ahri decided to give Baekhyun a call. "Baekhyun!" she yelped as he answered her call, but was quickly interrupted. "Ahri! Song Ahri! Are you alright?" He asked suddenly, she could hear the concern in his voice.
Her cheeks flushed, "Yes, Baek. I'm fine." She continued to walk home as she continued her short but brief conversation with him.
"I'm sure you've already seen that.. article. You know, of us.. Last weekend."
"Yes... I just found out today." Ahri admitted sheepishly. "It's okay. I'm fine, Baek."
"Song Ahri." He said firmly. "EXO's manager is going to pick you up tomorrow at 12 PM. Please be ready with your things? It's for your safety. I have already discussed this with the other members and the manager of course.." Baekhyun paused.
"Sorry if this seems really sudden, just finish your exams tomorrow and do well, ok?" He coaxed her.
Baekhyun was worried about Ahri, they had been really close friends ever since her freshman year, and his sophomore year. He unconsciously smiled to himself as he recalled the day he met her. They continued to chat along happily for a few more minutes. "Ahri, I'll talk to you later tonight, or tomorrow if I get busy. Stay safe okay?"
"Yes, of course, Baek."
